TJ went around campus to try to promote, but he's just not a people person. TJ was not a bad hire 4 years ago, it didn't work out obviously, but I don't think anyone hated the hire 4 years ago

LSU is not currently prime real estate in the college basketball neighborhood.

While no, LSU is not a great basketball school, we do have one of the best athletic departments in the entire country. We have money, facilities, and resources that most schools don't have. We aren't a basketball school now, but we can very easily be one, even if it is only the 2nd or 3rd most popular sport behind football and baseball. So I don't think its is impossible for us to get some of the coaches people want.

I totally agree with you! LSU Basketball can be great again without any doubt. It will just take time and solid decisions.

I hated Braby... but at least he tried. I hate to say this, but brady went around with his players to pump the program up. Trent didnt give a shite. Brady was going around before the final 4 run to give a pump to the program. TJ was a strait up bad hire.

Brady was no Dale Brown, but he did try and promote the program. He also led the Tigers to a Final Four. Now what exactly did Trent Johnson do? <<crickets chirping>> That is right...not a darn thing! I agree with your post. TJ was a strait up bad hire...start to miserable finish!

The LSU Basketball program has been in disarray since Trent Johnson was hired.

Pretty sure it was in disarray long before tj arrived one campus. Like 15 years before that.

The program was solid when Dale Brown retired. The program was not is terrible shape when Brady was fired. Let's remember that the year Brady was fired, his team was plagued with a multitude of players with injuries. His team went to the Final Four the year before that. LSU used a quick trigger finger on firing Brady. I wished they had that tricky finger with Johnson!

He never was a legitimate hire and he proved that game after game. It was so frustrating to witness the debacle of a program that was solid during the Dale Brown era

If you thought it was a bad hire 4 years ago, you don't know shite about LSU and college basketball in general.

Also where were you during the Brady era, this program wasnt anything to write home about under his tenure, it's not like shite hit the fan 4 years ago.

I do agree it was time for a change, but it's not like TJ single handedly ruined LSU bball

Brady's team went to the Final Four, and that is nothing to write home about??? Perhaps it is you that doesn't know anything about college basketball, moron! Trent Johnson was a far worse coach than Brady could have ever feared being.

No one wants to come play for a dead fish, emotionless guy who won't even come watch their high school games.

At least Pearl would have an excuse.

Then why did he need to cheat? What was Pearl's record vs Brady coached teams? In addition, he had an advantage, he was recruiting illegally.

Is every single coach who failed in a big-time job going to get mentioned.? Jesus Christ. Pat Knight? Stan Heath? Hell, let's just throw John Pelphrey's name out there while we're at it.
