This may be the dumbest thread I've ever seen. Gausman threw 133 pitches last Saturday. PM is giving him an extra day of rest and having him come back tomorrow instead of today. Nola is still a good pitcher. We are only down 2-0. If we can't win a game w Nola or Eades on the mound then we don't deserve to go to CWS.

Your post makes no sense. If this were a regional you could possibly have a point but in a super reginal it doesn't matter when the ace throws. SB is going to see Gausman.

They're starting their ace in game 2 as well, ace against ace

I was listening to the game on 98.1 rather than watching it. Hanigriff said this is the reason we are holding our ace. SB's ace pitched very heavily in order to get to this regional so they are resting him. We are going to match their ace with our ace.

Shut the frick up. SB didn't start their ace. Is that a sign of disrespect for LSU? If so, do the signs of disrespect cancel out? (sarcasm)

Do us all a favor and please quit posting.

It would be 0-0 if Gausman was pitching.

It does't matter how good or bad Nola throws if LSU doesn't score. He gave up a jack to a guy that had none up to that point. It happens. It has nothing to do with respect. I would rather have our #2 vs their #2 than I would Nola vs their #1.

I assume you are saying we should have started him at DH?

Because Gausman certainly wouldn't have "insured" a win by starting at pitcher without the offense scoring any runs....
