i truly believe we are better all around. more depth as well.

we beat bama last yr and they had more talent on that team and we were a much lesser team then than we are now.

i don't like that this is on the road, however i still feel confident LSU can win. even on the road.

Kent State is ranked dead last in total offense.
Penn State is ranked 97th in total offense.
North Texas is ranked 106th in total offense.
Ole Miss is ranked 102nd in total offense.
Vandy is ranked 96th in total offense.
Arkansas is ranked 15th.

I posted something similar to this over on the SEC Rant last week related to those teams' defensive numbers. Bama fans was bragging about PSU being ranked 4th in total defense.
Not surprisingly, i got no replies from the gumps who were spitting out those stats.

I don't understand why you idiots do this. If it's true, keep your mouth shut! You beat Bama on Nov. 5 and you look great. On the other hand, if you lose then you've lost to a team that, by your admission "isn't that good".

A lot of Bama folks are saying the same thing about LSU...it goes both ways. I think what people are trying to say is that Bama is beatable, just like LSU is too. You can't deny Bama has played a weak schedule, but I will be the first to admit that whipping Arkansas was a big win. I still think Arkansas has just as much chance of beating OU.

Before Tards show up and start telling me that Bama is good and not to underestimate them etc. , I will say that I know that Bama is very good. My point is that all of the Gump stat pumping garbage is nonsense. LSU is every bit as good as Bama and vice versa.

Guys, Preseason LSU according to Segarian ranked our schedule 7th hardest in the Nation, Bama's was above 100 about 112 or something, isn't any of that taken into consideration when ranking top 25 teams, of course BAMA's stats on defense will look better agains much weaker offenses. Not saying BAMA is a very good team, they are and I am worried, especially since we play them in T-town. I just wonder how these POLLS are honest and fair. I don't care so much about being number 1 now, but in the end. It's just if they had our schedule no one would rank above them at this point. What say you about this dilemma?

Not to change the subject, but has LSU's total offense ranking vs. their opponents' total defense rankings been discussed?

You did a really good job not changing the subject.

I don't have any statsthat can back this up, but it seems that after a team plays Bama they are without several key players in the following weeks. Case in point, they knocked out both Florida's number one and number two QB and one of their running backs. I believe we sent several of Penn State's offense to the sideline for a few games. The same can be said for almost every team Bama has played to this point. Being without key offensive players can affect offensive production. The truth is, teams are beat to hell after they play Alabama and sometimes they don't recover.

Anyway, nice stats. Good thing they really won't matter in a few weeks.

Wow. So Bama actually causes teams to lose more than one game on a regular basis? That's quite impressive.

I can't remember if it was 2006 or 2007, but in one of those years, teams were either 1-11 or 0-12 against the spread the week after they played LSU. I find stats like that pretty interesting.

I agree with this. However, Both Bama and LSU kick peoples asses to the turf every week. Any team that plays either one struggles the next week. I almost felt sorry for FLA after the last two weeks going into AU. They have been BEAT DOWN the last two weeks, and still stayed competitive.

Same can be said about LSU. I don't mind you being a Bama homer, Just give BOTH teams credit when due.

Good username for you. Somebody please take the keyboard from this retard. Bama is every bit as good as LSU and it will be a battle of juggernauts come Nov. 5th.

If you want to act like Lee Corso and then attempt to make stupidly vague and empty comparative phrases then why not do it on the SEC rant?

I will say that if you use stats on what others have done or rather have not done and much of the reason is because Bama has played a role in those numbers being where they are, then you have a lot to learn.

To conclude,
1. Please stop using a tired Lee Corso phrase
2. Be smart enough to know that other teams' stats shouldn't dictate if a team is "good" in FBS football. Any moron can watch Bama and realize they are good. They're not playing Ouachita Baptist and Slippery Rock in OOC games.

I will certainly give LSU credit, but for obvious reasons, do not pay quite as much attention to LSU as I do Alabama. I've just noticed that this year above all others I have watched, Bama keeps sending players to the sidelines on a regular basis. LSU might be doing the same thing, but it seems like Bama is doing it more than in times past, even in years where they had an outstanding defense.

So they play dirty? Tigers are solid with alot of depth we have multiple plug ins. Multiple running backs and QB's that are game ready. Most of the teams that were ranked low, were ranked that way before they played Bama. If TR gets dinged against the Vols then what. Everyone says iin is in a class by him self yet he was behind Mark Ingram. Hype! Bama is a good team. Thjey don't have LSU type speed on the D, not close. LSU can lay the wood just like Bama. Freak can plug the middle Mingo cna catch them in the backfield. Trent with out Ingram is like rainy with out Demps. He can be stopped by a good D.

Well just look up the last ten years for both LSU and Bama opponents and what they do the week after playing them. They struggle.

You type like you are angry. Relax. You sound like you are trying to convince yourself to believe your own argument. It's okay. You don't have to play in the game. No need to hype yourself up.
