(Not so) Bold Prediction for 2023 Draft

This upcoming draft will probably be the worst draft class from LSU under CBK.
Was taking a look at Mel Kiper's Top 10 Positional list and he only mentions 4 LSU players, none in the Top 3 at their position.
#8 Guard - Anthony Bradford
#6 Defensive Tackle - Jaquelin Roy
#4 Outside Linebacker - BJ Ojulari
#11 Safety - Jarrick Bernard-Converse
Not listed: Boutte, Garner, Jones, Ward, Gaye, Baskerville, Foucha, Harris, Jenkins.

Orgeron left the cupboard pretty bare.

He had a bad year and it was probably attitude related but he was phenomenal as a freshman and sophomore before the injury. He is super talented and played a big role in several LSU wins. LSU fans should be appreciative that we had him despite his down year. LSU has been THE alpha school for producing recent NFL WR talent and I hope he helps build on that reputation.

Boutte is talented but he was eaten by the "me monster". We'll see if this humbles him. Best of luck.

It would be nice if we cut Boutte some slack. He had serious injury and could have played for a heisman winner at Bama but he stayed and fought with us.

I don't think it's our fan base that made him drop in the draft boards. His awful performance at the combine is what hurt him the most. Among WRs he ranked in the middle of the pack for 40 yard dash, last for vertical jump, second to last broad jump. He had a decent shuttle time but that's the only bright aspect. There were 20+ offensive linemen with better verticals. What those numbers show me is the lack of explosiveness.
