Do they typically go on a nationwide search for these type of players? Niether Voogd nor Farrer had an offer from any other major school and it's pretty obvious why.

Yeah, and sometimes they miss and the players don't develop like they had hoped. Look at how many highly regarded football signees from out of state don't end up being significant players while other La. prospects end up starring at ULL ( Fenroy), McNeese, Nicholls, La. Tech ( Philip Livas), NLU and end up in teh NFL.

That is very scary, and I would have paid money to watch either of these guys play on year of 5A ball in Louisiana.

Brady and Butch had many more hits than misses in their recruiting and I would trust there were bonafide reasons they signed Farrer and Voogd.

Did they help the program? Voogd obviously saw the writing on the wall at two major programs. Farrer is logging 5 minutes in the SEC as a junior. Other early departures besides the ones to the NBA certainly hurt as well.

Voogd played some valuable minutes as a backup PG on a Final Four team and I don't believe he hurt the team when he was in. Farrer is a a valuable spor reserve on what may be a high seeded team which could go deep in the tournament with the right matchups. If he makes a major contribution to 3-4 victories like he did yesterday how valuable would that be?

Speaking of Brady, would you care to bring up ASU's RPI as you did on multiple occassions earlier this season? I'm sure the ASU fans are giddy over their current five game win streak.

Arkansas State's RPI is 198 which is no surprise since the program was not very strong last year and they are in a rebuilding mode. I also stated earlier this season tht it would not last, but at the time ASU did have a higher RPI than LSU.

Correct, and he was doing a very good job until the recent skid. Hopefully they can bounce back and finish strong.
