Yes this seems to be a yearly problem with the LSU hitting. They’ll crush ace SEC pitching and then look like fools against pip squeak pitchers from McNeese, Dartmouth and East Coast truck driving school.

In all realistic situations, LSU has too much talent every year in the bullpen to catch up to these junk ball pitchers. They have literally nobody to practice against so it just is an adjustment in the game. They eventually catch up to them and adjust. This is just a bad game. The game yesterday they were crushing the ball and they just played mostly good defense.

One thing bad in this game is shadows over the plate which hurts hitting overall. Might be impacting some of our guys.
