At this point, you have to have some faith in whatever he decides.
If you don’t then you’re a lost cause. Look at what he just created and gave us. Just fricking trust him.

I remember when the rant wanted Clancy Pendergast so bad. Dude just got canned and couldn’t handle the PAC 12

Now now Bastard, they have a right to their opinions on this board but, not their facts {pesky little things but very vital}.

My concern has nothing to do with football knowledge.

the question is, would a 2008 scheme work now? no, has learned to adapt defenses to modern offenses? IDK
..uhhhhh, you do know that it’s now 2020 and he is still coaching football....it’s not like LSU is getting this guy out the grave and he hasn’t been coaching since 2007....come on people...

Pelini would steal the hearts of our fans, beloved beyond reproach. The confessions he's made in the past should ease one's tensions over this hire. Orgeron's thinking again is spot on.

He's not an attacking type of guy, and people that are saying that he is are wrong.

Well, his last defense at LSU finished 3rd in the nation in turnovers and had 3 Ints. and 5 sacks in the title game. I remember that year being a very attacking defense. His defense also tied the record for turnovers when he was at Nebraska as a coordinator.

Pelini had good defenses because of the caliber of athlete that a LSU always gets, and you know what type of athlete that is and that they recruit. It's the reason why "Chief" and his defenses looked good and he went on to get the type of job offers he got, and now Aranda being the latest looks the way he looks and is now head coach of Baylor. LSU's great talent has made these guys look much better than their schemes really are. Pelini's scheme is not attacking no matter what y'all say, I watched it the whole time he was at LSU. He did similar things to what Aranda did, a lot of read and react based things with DLineman dropping into coverage sometimes, and not a lot of blitzing despite what some people have said on here.

also, that Ohio State team that LSU beat up on in the title game of '07, and giving them and Miles his first and only BCS championship that you're saying Pelini and D dominated in. Well, LSU should have back then, LSU had the superior athletes back then like I'm talking about. This was before Ohio State started changing their recruiting of the better athletes to challenge with in getting Urban Scum and all to compete. But a better gauge of Pelini's D is when Arkansas took them apart in the final game of the season that same season almost costing Miles and LSU a chance to play for a NC. Go back and watch that game and see how attacking his D was then.
