Thanks MississippiLSUfan! Hope you enjoy the graduation. There is nothing like it. Make sure you bring a camera and take spectacular pictures.

We plan on doing just that. Keep your head down, my friend.

Thanks LowerAlabamaTrojan! This is an excellent link. You know that many people serving in the military today does not know about this new GI Bill? They are also making it to where they can pass this Bill off to their kids as well. Thanks for posting this link and providing good insight. Most of all, thanks for the support that many of you provide our families back at home! God Bless.

While some of us on this website are alums and some of us are not, don't we all share the common thread of our love for LSU? A lot of people are lucky enough to attend LSU and many many more are not able to many circumstances.

Wouldn't it be more productive for us as fans of LSU to work together to make LSU a better place?

<Having spent close to 40 years around LSU football, I seem to find one thing in common with the majority of the awful, obnoxious, LSU fans that give our school and team a bad name. The VAST majority of them never attended LSU. Many of us have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours studying to earn our degrees that we are so proud of. Non-alumni LSU fans, please don't be d-bags and try to have a little CLASS>

Wow...sure sounds like a UT fan!!

Yeah, we would be called Tulane!

And why don't you callout the student section? They seem to be the ones making the biggest asses of themselves.

Really? I think a large problem with our fanbase is elitist assholes that like to tear down the rest of the fans.

I am not an alum of LSU. I was born and raised in BR and spent every Saturday since I was old enough to know anything watching the Tigers. Due to finances when I graduated from H.S. LSU or any other college was out so I joined the military. I am as big a fan now as I ever was. I totally understand what you are saying about all of the negativity, but this is a rant blog. Louisiana will always be home, these will always be my peeps, and the tigers will always be the only team. Somedays I will be excited, somedays I will be mad enough to kill, but I will always love LSU. We LSU fans are a unique group. That's how its always been and that's how it will always be.

As a non-alum fan I'm cool with that. I don't boo the players. I don't disrespect them on this board. I confine my criticisms strictly to the coaches who are so well paid to produce. I support the team and the program in positive ways. Hope that works for you.

As an LSU alum i have to say, you're full of shite.

The arse hats that sit there and do nothing are the ones that piss me off.

So, by me not attending LSU, I should give up my season tickets I have had for since the Curly days and stop donating money to the TAF. My priority rank is in the 2500 range. You are an idiot. By the way, I started going to games in the late 70's with my dad who had season tickets and didn't attend LSU.

What does alumni and fan have to do with each other? In a word, nothing!

No you should disregard this arse. I'm an Alum and happy for all of my friends and fellow fans that support the Tigers.

The guys that tailgate with me loyaly and go to road games are not alums. Many of my buddies that are have to be dragged to the games.

Well whitelightnin18, looks like you've succeeded in getting your point across!?!?!?!

I grew up in Louisiana and have been inundated with Tiger athletics my entire life. I have cheered through the ups and downs with my family for 30 years now. My parents and grandparents instilled in me a love of the university through sports. Your false sense of entitlement about somehow being a better fan than me (or being less of an "arse" than me) because you are an alum is utterly, well, asinine. I'm proud of my degree, too. What difference does it make where I received it?
BTW I went to school in Mississippi (not Ole Miss thank God) and had to listen to the LSU hate from Ole Miss and State fans everyday. Everyday I staunchly defended my Tigahs. Did you ever have to deal with these kind of situations going to LSU?

Using you're confused rationale, I guess I'm a better fan than you since I have been on here since July and have nearly 1000 posts. You and your 21 posts since Nov 2007.

I guarantee you I am a bigger fan than most who ever attended the university. It's probably a little sad how devastated I am about our losses and how excited I am over wins (in all of our sports). I lose sleep over it. I have also never given our team a "bad name". My flag flies proudly most every day here in Austin. I represent "your" university with pride and dignity. Why don't you analyze yourself instead of casting stones at others.

I agree that there are great football fans who never attended the university, my dad being one of them.

My only question is, how many of those fans actually care about LSU in anything other than athletics?

This isn't a flame either... just consider it a survey.

I'd love nothing more than my son going to LSU one day. But to be quite honest, I could care less how the Math department is doing.

I got news for you. Its a good thing LSU doesn't count on alumni only for its fan base. Like the other guy said, about ninety percent of LSU fans didn't even go there.

By the way, it was alumni people who scolded me because I said Curly Hallman was a bad hire.

I have never taken the alumni fans too seriously, so you shouldn't either.
