No sane fan thought we were going to sweep such a complet team like Florida is, yet all the idiots are out tonight bashing coaches/players for losing a game by one run to the consensus #1 team in the country and by far the most popular pick to win the CWS. Chill the frick out. We can still win 2 of 3 and that is all you can ask for in league play anyways.

Because of the way we lost.

You don't get upset when we blow the lead in the 9th?

ETA: I'm not bashing players or the coach. Just upset we lost a game that close. We'll bounce back tomorrow though.

Its because we lost a close game and blew a lead, and almost came back.

Exactly, our already shakey closer giving it up in the 9th definitely doesn't make me happy.

Why so happy OP?

If we go on to win 2 of 3, the frustration will subside/disappear. But until we win Saturday night, it's ok to be a little frustrated/emotional over that loss tonight. It was a tough loss.

I agree that there is no reason to bash the coaches or players for this loss. I understand why people are upset after losing like we did, but it was because Florida is a good team, so there is no reason to bash the coaches or players.

Our guys played hard and the decision to bunt that guy over to third was a good call. The execution just wasnt there. No need to crucify the coaches/players...period. :beatdeadhorse:

Its one inning. There are 9 in a game and EACH is as important as the other. There is a lot of good to take away from the game.

Oh, and intimidating did you think Guillot was tonight? Kidding, kidding lol.

If we win tomorrow I will be happy tomorrow, if we lose Sunday I will be upset Sunday. You don't lose a freaking game the way we did in the 9th and say "Oh well we can still win 2 out of 3," it's not about the other 2 out of 3 TONIGHT, even though I definitely didn't expect us to sweep it, I'm not saying that, it's about losing tonight, hell, if you want to look at it like that, we should of swept the series then. I'm not mad like a lot of the rantards out there, but I am upset that we lost this game the way we did and I'm worried about our closer role and no, not just because of this game but he hasn't had an outing that has really made me think "he's our closer this year and we are ok with him there." My opinion doesn't matter but I think the people are more worried how we lost, than the fact that we lost to the number 1 team. Hell, I'm happy the way our team played for the most part, and if we have to lose, I'd rather it be to a top team but like I've been saying, it's the way we lost and the way our closer is looking that has me worried.

We could lose the next two games in the same fashion and I will still be able to excited about the rest of the season bc the opening weekend of the conference is a long, long way from Omaha.

Also, if everyone thinks we "should" have won, then you should really be happy because that was a very talented baseball team we played. Best team in college baseball right now. I guess I am a glass half full guy.

The 9th isn't the only thing I was disappointed in. Just said it's hard to watch when we lose after having the lead until the very end.

I also was disappointed in the call to bunt Ross when his two previous pitches he bunted foul.

Like I said, if we have to lose, I'm glad that it's to a top team like Florida, but we should not of lost that game the way we did as good as we played, for the most part.

Well I guess that makes me a glass half empty kind of a guy, because in a competitive league, I feel like if you have a team of equal caliber on the ropes in front of 10,000 of your own, you need to take advantage of the opportunity and close the deal. I'm not writing us off by any means, but if your not a little upset with losing, then why even play the game?

Of course I am slightly upset, but not nearly mad enough to start a thread nashing players or coaches or any other part of the team. Tough loss, but we get two more cracks.
