I like the way he answered. If you are going to ask him some stupid racist question based on his last name being Jefferson, then why not answer it like that.

You really think all that went through Jordan Jefferson's head before he answered? I mean he has trouble reading a defense much less a deep thought process?????????

Quarterbacks at LSU are supposed to be Rhodes Scholars.
No, but they should probably know the difference between Thomas and george Jefferson.

JJ was in High School 1 year before that article.
Perhaps you believe people became suddenly less educated in 2009?

It'll likely go on for years after he's gone, sadly.

He's been in college since 2008.
So he's been in college for 3 years and he doesnt know who Thomas Jefferson is?

How often in college, if you attended, did Thomas Jefferson actually come up?

Didn't know JJ was taking American History in College.
Pretty sure they teach it in Oklahoma too..

Louisiana public school?
I'm shocked he can read at all.
But I am enjoying the mindless Bashing of JJ over nothing. Woooooweeeeee We Bashers are a tough lot. We fix on any little thing as an excuse to pour out our idiocy on JJ. I mean most of us would probably wet our jorts if we had to answer those unrehearsed questions. Not like any of us are ever going to achieve anything in our worthless lives that would warrant such an event.
But that is what JJ Bashing is all about. That's why it's so much fun. A bunch of us losers pretending that we are better than someone else makes us feel good about our selves.
Bashing yesterday
Bashing today
Bashing tomorrow
Bashing forever

I know this is definitely taboo to say, but:
LSU is a hot preseason #1. Possibly the best team in the SEC, with fairly strong history of SEC teams winning the title recently. Hence, the interest in getting to know the LSU team beforehand, in the event we do win it all.
JJ has the added benefits of
1 being a senior starter at QB on said team
2 given his past performance, the chance at a hell of a human interest story if he succeeds in winning the title. Dude will likely be on ESPN radio "The Sporting Life" chronicling his perseverance and rags-to-riches tale if he can pull it off. And the fact is, he's in a great position to do just that: he's still the starter, and we're top 5 coming in.
Even the biggest JJ haters and critics have to admit it'd be a good story:
"JJ, did you ever consider giving up after you became a laughingstock, put up some awful numbers, and were totally discounted in every win your team achieved?"
answer- "I always dreamed of playing for LSU, and my coach believed in me when nobody else did. For him to hoist the crystal ball and hand it to me, it was beyond any dream, and no one can take it from me"

Would be a great story. A helluva lot has to happen before that fairy tale comes true though.
