No Excuse for Such Horrible QB Play/Recruiting at LSU

Jones for Ohio State is unreal. He is everything that LSU wants from its QB. And, he was 3rd string.
I know that it has been talked about here ad nauseum. But, the point is that there should be no excuses for the abysmal QB play and horrible QB recruiting at LSU. We need to stop making excuses.
Either Urban Meyer is a complete genius far beyond the rest of college football or LSU needs to step it up a lot.
A wide open offense also masks inadequacy and lack of experience at QB instead of exploiting it. Playing wide-open is how you NEED to play with an inexperienced QB if he is athletic. I think that we have seen that this year.

Clarify. Meyer's QBs haven't done anything outside of his system. If you're saying it's his system, you're right. If you're saying he turns these guys into great QBs you're wrong.

You gotta give credit where credit is due. Whens the last time you saw a team play this well with a 3rd stringer? It just doesn't happen hardly ever anywhere. Urban Meyer did something really incredible this season and 99% of other teams can't do this. It doesn't mean every other coach who doesn't have a 3rd string stud is awful. It just means UM did something special this season.

Jones IMO would have done something here. He has the arm and physical tools that none of our QBs have.

Disagree. Do you see Jennings with the physical tools that any of the three OSU QB's have? Now in two years Harris may look like Cardale, but it's undeniable that Jennings is not as talented.
