It’s just amusing that people pass the blame on 19 year old kids vs a guy that’s making millions when LSU is the only team with this issue.

Those darn kids. If they were more like Bama players who wake up every morning dying to go to class then lsu wouldn’t have these issues.

Punishing for weed is stupid, some of these kids might be coming from states where it is legal to use. It’s just idiotic to test as a drug in this day and age especially when it puts you at a disadvantage to your competition.

Would things have deteriorated this much had SW not let Ed O finish the season?

Have heard rumblings on McGlothern

Not necessarily that he wants out of LSU, but that he might have to

Sounds like he may have Palmer’d his way out of the program

Not sure how it would be different. You would still have a lame duck coach with the same staff

Some of these absences are due to COVID protocols and university is not legally able to specify why a player is not able to play in any contest. Injuries, academics, COVID, legal troubles, etc..

By bullshite, do you mean upholding the student portion of student-athlete?

Serious question.

They should just do away with the 3 year out of high school minimum and let them go to the NFL right out of high school. Also there should be a minor league. Let’s stop pretending these kids are student athletes altogether.

So, is the question whether we could have expected Ed to be diligent and competent, if we had just let him finish the season?
Really?
Does anyone here NOT know the answer to that hypothetical question?

On a positive note, WR is still stacked.

He was late to the first weight training session with the new S&C coach and apparently got into it with either that particular coach or Kelly

Yes. If he’s struggling with his grades, LSU needs to get it fixed one way or another.

He needs to grow his arse up. I’m sure that was tolerated under O. These kids all want to be in the NFL, but they’ll fine you or suspend you for being late. Be accountable and dependable.
