And it's not just losing them, but it's also the timing of it. If they had gone into the summer and announced this, ok it sucks but next man up. Time to focus on the younger guys.

Three weeks before kickoff? Now LSU coaching staff has to scramble and gameplan around the deficiencies. It puts LSU in a bind for sure.

Three weeks is a long time.

I am Hoping our system is plug and play.

There are certain things Chase did better than anyone, but that doesn’t mean other people can’t do them. Just not as well as the best WR in college football.

Man, three weeks will be gone before a cat can lick its arse.

It is not that cut and dry. You're speaking in idealistic measures. These kids are limited with not only having the physical ability, but knowing the playbook, having practical experience in being able to spot clues in opposing coverage, etc. It's not just "plug and play", ever. Maybe if we were dealing with computer hardware and machinery.

Asolutely. I agree with that. Which is where having 12 weeks to prepare and gameplan is invaluable. Which, is why I make the point that it would have been so much better knowing it going into the summer. The thought process changes. It goes from, "we'll get you up to speed to where you can come in and pick up the slack" to "we now have to get you up to speed as a starter for the majority of plays and prepare the man behind you to now do what we were originally planning you to do."

Eh I thinj You have to always be ready to be in a position when a player goes down. Chase missed a game last year and I think His backup killed it.

8-2 is a great year now. 6-4 much more likely.
We have lost all but 2 starters on offense and 3 on defense from last year. Plus we have lost 5 guys that would be starting this year on defense.
