Evidently you have never served and have never suffered the loss of someone who has.

No. I am not military, and all of my family members who are have come home safely, something that unfortunately a lot of families cannot say.

But I suppose I could flip that around and say “Evidently you have never been affected by racism or police brutality and have never had a loved one affected either.” It has never been about the military, and he’s said so over and over. It’s about acknowledging that America has issues, as great as we are, and we should work to make it better.

If you can’t see that, I’m sorry.

Shame on Nike for making him a hero.

I mean Nike made him a hero because he’s standing up for what he believes in on the face of adversity.

Here’s an idea. Donnte a bunch of free shoes and clothes to veterans hospitals, veterans groups or the military as a whole.

I mean this is a great idea in general, and I hope you do this. There are lots of great charities that do great things for vets. My personal favorite is Folds of Honor, but whatever you feel called to do, go for it.

LSU is a public institution. We need a company that respects our country like it deserves. Put puma back on the map.

All this stuff makes me sick. Just hope this doesn’t bring negative attention to the College game like it has to the Pro game.

Like many of you posted earlier, I’d drop Nike also.

My father is a Marine and my grandfather was in the Air Force. 2 of my uncles are army vets and one is in the navy and is a recruiter.

I stand by Kaepernick. The anthem is racist and it doesn’t take 5 minutes of research to back that up. Blacks couldn’t even drink from the same fountains as whites less than 75 years ago. This country never gave a damn about minorities. And although it is the greatest country in the world, there is still alot of work to do and just like those lost soldiers who died in battle, there is lost men, women and children who died because of slavery/police brutality/ racism and false beliefs of supremacy. If you can’t understand where Kaepernick is coming from then you are also a part of the problem. He isn’t saying frick America by taking a knee he just doesn’t want to stand for a song that talks about killing slaves. I respect Kaepernick more than alot of people because he is standing for something he believes in wholeheartedly. You can protest without disrespecting the military. The military has nothing to do with what Kaepernick is protesting about. The sad thing is you more than likely already know that, but you are just playing stupid and acting like you don’t understand the reasoning behind his protest.

This country doesn’t protect their own veterans good enough anyway. Right here in New Orleans you will pass by many homeless men begging for change that are ex military.

You gained your mental retardation card at “the anthem is racist “.

Please collect your helmet and mouth piece on the way out to the bus.

Irony!!!

Its time for us all to put this behind us, treat everyone equally, love our neighbors, black, white or blue. Lets be positive, help each other and spread love. Lets move forward with progress and stop with the hate and arguing. Life is too short. Laugh, love, and be brave enough to move forward with forgiveness on both sides, so we can just be people - family, friends, Americans.
