OK .. i'll go slow here .. it is pretty safe to assume that anyone that calls themselves an LSU fan that hates nick saban right now IS a jilted ex-lover of sorts because they are still pissed that he left LSU ...

that is not in the same stratosphere as making the generalization that everyone that still respects nick saban and what he did at LSU hates les miles ...

i really have no idea where you would draw that analogy at all ..

Yes, Saban did a lot of great things for LSU football, but many here fail to realize that it was actually DiNardo, aside from the last few years, that resurrected the program from the grave that Hallman and Archer drug it into. Archer rode Arnsparger's coattail in '87 and '88.

1989 - 4 wins and 7 losses
1990 - 5 wins and 6 losses
1991 - 5 wins and 6 losses
1992 - 2 wins and 9 losses
1993 - 5 wins and 6 losses
1994 - 4 wins and 7 losses

**Enter DiNardo**

1995 - 7 wins, 4 losses and 1 tie
1996 - 10 wins and 2 losses
1997 - 9 wins and 3 losses

1995, 1996 and 1997 sparked a renewed interest in LSU football all across the entire state. Sure, 1998 and 1999 were disappointing, but Saban thrived off of the pressure cooker DiNardo lit a fire under.
