I have always wondered if LSU knows what a tarp is, I know the football dept has no clue.

Coleman starting vs nicholls, hellmers vs southern. Sounds like edwards has earned a weekend bullpen spot

Excellent, could be depth as well with beck missing time

IMO, this shouldn't matter until conference. I'd rather see him continue to build innings and starter experience during the non-conference. Then, once conference play rolls around, shift him to the weekend and roll wholestaff in the midweeks.
If you think he's got a chance to be a starter in the future, give him the development opportunities as they present themselves.

I have a feeling wednesday will be johnny halfstaff. Maybe get 2 or 3 innings out of both helmers and edwards

There are enough freshmen to get through those two games.
Still haven't seen Murray or Rice. Millas could use another inning.
ETA: Coleman is in the same boat as Edwards for me. They've both shown they could be valuable relievers on the weekends. But it would be nice to continue their starter path as long as possible.

I'm not looking into it that much. Coleman, Hellmers, and Edwards all look capable of handling weekend innings.

Im not sure we’ve seen anyone who cant handle midweek innings yet except for possibly george who we likely wont see much of again this year

It does make me wonder if Paul inserts Edwards for Labas this Sunday.

There is an interesting thought.

So softball can play, but baseball cant...

I like Labas. I don't necessarily want him out of the Sunday role, but he's been hit around a bit. He settled in against Youngstown, and I'm more comfortable with a vet on Sundays for conference (especially on the road). I could see the experiment.
