First off, McMahon is not my boy. I've NOT ONCE said McMahon was a better coach than Wade. I know you think my username means I like him, but I don't. I don't know how you think being in an insane asylum is a good thing. I'm comparing our program's state to an insane asylum, since the marketing department of MBB likes to throw around the word McManiacs. I feel like people just see "mcmaniac" and automatically assume I'm a hardcore McMahon fan. When I first started posting I even had people like Tiger1988 claim I was a plant by Woody and the athletic department lmfao, typing at me in all caps to prove I wasn't an employee of LSU. Utterly ridiculous.

I've consistently been negative towards McMahon. I feel like too many TD posters view being a fan of MBB as a black and white thing. Either you're a Wade fan or a McMan, and there's no in between. Many of them consistently conflate any positive rhetoric about MBB to Will Wade hatred and McMahon support. News flash: you can support players or a program as a whole and want the coach to succeed, while also recognizing they are bad. I don't think McMahon is the guy to get it done, but that doesn't mean I won't support him while he's here and hope for team success.

Genuinely speaking I don't give a frick about Will Wade anymore. He is not our coach. I can recognize our program was better off when he was here, while also understanding why the administration got rid of him. I also dislike McMahon as a coach. He seems like a nice enough person but I'm consistently appalled by his choice of lineups and rotations. I was fine with mostly blaming the players last year, because they genuinely were god awful (I'm looking at you Juice, Adam, and Kendal), but now it's all on him. We have the players to have a moderate amount of success, he needs to steer the ship in the right direction.

I'm tired of seeing the same Will Wade rhetoric spewed constantly on this board. That's why I'm quite negative when his name is mentioned- it simply doesn't matter. No matter how many Wade fans come on this board and cry about him being gone, it won't change the fact that he will NEVER coach at LSU again. The majority of these "fans" clearly are not educated on our current roster or the players, let alone the sport of basketball on its own. I think it's pretty obvious that for many, Will Wade was the first coach to make them care about our basketball team in a long time, possibly ever. That's not to say that you cannot be a loyal fan and also like Wade. That's not what I'm saying now and that's not what I've ever said. I liked Wade while he was here. However, the same rhetoric being spammed over and over again contributes nothing to meaningful discussion of the sport of basketball. I respect true fans of LSU basketball, people who are actually knowledgeable and you can have a proper discussion of hoops with. I do not respect uneducated Wade fans who sound like a broken record. If they love Wade so much, they should start going to McNeese games, purchase a season ticket, and donate to their athletic club. For many of these same people, they make it quite clear they want Wade to succeed and LSU/McMahon to fail. These people are NOT real fans. I know how painful it was for all of us to see Wade go. I was upset too. I want our program to win big and I know Wade was our best bet at that. But at the same time dwelling in the past does absolutely nothing. Our fanbase needs to move on.

At the end of the day, I love the sport of basketball, especially when its played in the PMAC. My loyalty lies to no coach, no athletic director, or any single person. It lies with LSU, the school whose games I've going to since I was a child. I grew up at the tail end of Brady's success, and had to deal with a lot of shite under TJ and JJ. To be an LSU basketball fan, you have to make it through the bad times and really enjoy it when its good. I will continue to attend every home game and watch every away game on TV. Nothing will change that.

I know you dislike me, as you're undoubtedly the most negative individual on this board towards me when I post, and that's fine, I don't care. I think a lot of the things you say are really dumb, and you probably feel the same way towards me. It's whatever. No matter how negative you are towards me or how bad the program gets, I will continue to support it, regardless of how foolish I may be.

Because they have lots of LSU fans who have such a low opinion of themselves, the only way they can feel better is try to minimize others. These are normally weak, average people who spend too much time trying to drown their misery in sports and alcohol.
