Congratulations to the Lady Tigers for beating a ranked opponent. I truly hope that we can get the program back on track; if we had a good outside shooter with size we would be tough. I continue to say that Caldwell can coach, but she needs to get better talent.

I’ve defended Nikki in the past, however, not dogmatic about it. In regards to better talent, LSU managed to snag a top 20 recruiting class last year (the current Freshmen class). Their contribution has already been evident (offense especially...although I don’t want to undersell Khayla Pointer’s growth in the off season and what she’s done...a top recruit a few years ago)c as they grow and gain more experience, they’ll be a force to be reckoned with. Tia Young (last year’s HS player of the year in LA) has the potential to do for the program what Seimone Augustus did in the past. IMO. Potential key word.

A great win no doubt. If Nikii can consistently get the recruiting going and keep good assistants and players, then she can still turn this program around.

It remains to be seen if she can accomplish that.
