honestly, it wont matter one way or another. You know how this will go....he will dodge questions about what happened, and deny everything else

This problem with accountability and responsibility may be more deep rooted than we know. It sounds like it infects the entire football mentality. A lot of people feel like you really should not question or criticize Miles for his decisions.
Meanwhile,
I'm sitting in my office at work wondering if people truly realize how their coaching failure, stubbornness, incredibly poor judgment, and indefensible treatment of a loyal productive player affected the program in the worst way.

Seriously, get the frick over it. We had a great season. Bama was better in the one game that counted the most. Their defense was incredible.
Yes, Miles should've put Lee in but that doesn't guarantee that we would've scored or changed the outcome of the game.
Miles is accountable and I bet he feels that he is. What coach in a loss like this has come out and "explained" or catered to a stupid fan base like all you morons want him to do?
Get over yourselves. This is his job and career. He feels worse about the game than you can ever imagine.

I don't understand this mentality at all. Its like some people will just overlook what Les did not just in the BCS game but how he handled the QB situation. And you should not talk about it, you should not criticize it, you should not be angry. You should just accept it, no questions asked. Down the Kool-Aid.
Meanwhile, they blame the problems caused by the coach on some of the fans being angry about what Les himself did and caused!
I suppose those that think this way were just raised in an environment where you never question authority or feel that you are disloyal should you criticize the person in charge for causing a F up.

I wondered if Les drowned his sorrows in some of that Cane's sauce.

Justin Vincent was a Saban recruit. He's probably still working for Saban CIA-style and in on the conspiracy to bring the whole thing down.

Jesus. Really? Blaming a fan message board for whats going on in the program now? How about you don't drop a deuce in the middle of the field in the BCS championship game
Hey, the poor performance on the field has ZERO effect on how people view our football team. It's those kooks on the Internet that caused us to lose to Bama, lose recruits, and even our own current players (who absolutely know what is posted on TD isn't true, but are leaving because of those untruths. Oh wait. Let me rephrase that)

i'm amazed that people think that bashing the coach and/or players is a good thing.
i've seen the head coach called an idiot, moron, quitter, and coward (i guess board rules no longer apply)....and i'm not even going to get into what i've seen some of the players called....all because of a football game. this isn't a private forum and if you don't think that players, coaches, and recruits read this shite you're dumber than i originally thought.
...and don't give me the "WE WANT ANSWERS" bullshite...because we all know it doesn't matter one bit what Miles says.
so keep hiding behind your "Its good for the program" mantra....you're just making yourself look stupid

I'm not sure that he does. I think he feels safe and cozy and can do whatever he wants. I don't think he feels that he did anything wrong.
Moreover, I don't think he understands or accepts what he did. I don't think anyone doubts for a second that if we could replay that game...or if JJ was coming back...that Les would start him again.

Its just like politics. The extreme voices are often the loudest and give the misperception that they represent everyone.

Sad thing is while everyone here types away, the current players are probably doing things on their own to stay in shape and get ready for spring practice. I guarantee they've moved on from last week and are doing the things necessary to get ready for next year and to eventually make it to the NFL. In Feb, 25 players will sign to play for LSU and #23, 24 and 25, who probably had no shot to be in this class a month ago will be damn happy to put the LSU uniform on and contribute to this program. Recruiting is not final until they sign on the dotted line and LSU will get 25 sec caliber players with or without the recruits they miss out on. Get over it!

yea its a nice tweet. but when you pay a coach 3.5 million a year you deserve more. if this was going on at any other big college the same shite would be happening. everyone on this board im sure would not be so negative if miles would have at least played to win. his conservative play calling and not using available quarterbacks to at least throw something different has brought on a slew of outrage for an explanation.
Posted on 1/17/12 at 11:16 am to BayouBengalinBama
hell no he was still trying to win in the fourth quarter. he never gave up. he throwed everything he had at them but usc was just the better team that day.

Not too sure that Miles, Gunner Kiel, or who ever else is sitting at home reading the BS on these boards. I think you guys are giving yourselves a little too much credit if you believe they read the insane logic spewed by the majority here.
It just doesn't seem like a hard up 16 year old who loves to talk out of his arse and put emoticons in his post is bringing down the LSU program. Sorry.

I think its time for me to shut it down for a while. I'm sick of the Gumps on the board gloating and justifing behavior that deserves an arse whipping and I'mm tired of all the drama. I'm going go to go hunting this weekend and next, then I'll get ready for fishing. That'll keep me busy until its time to watch games.

You know there has to be a loser in the BCSNC, right? This time it was us.
It happens to the best coaches. It happened to ours and I'm sure he's learned from it, and hopefully uses this loss as motivation for next year.
Other than that, no one can do anything about that loss. It's in the past and any negativity is not going to help.

The gumps lack gratitude for LSU pulling them into the rematch...
LSU was SEC champs this year and still have a better record than the Gumps
They won the biggest prize at our expense with our former coach, and yet they have be classless and rub it in..
I'll never like Alabama or their fans except for the few I know personally that are actually decent human beings.
The Internet trolls and the Finebaum crowd can take a hike!
