Well yeah we didn't exactly pitch game 1 to win the tourney, but if we continue to pitch well we will have a solid chance to do it anyway. Need the hot (or at least warm) bats though.

Well A&M beating auburn. Ole miss beating Arkansas and tenn beating Texas has something to do with it.

Not going to win in Omaha without Hurd/Ack/Riley Cooper kind of performances so get Cowan and freshman Williams, Evans and Schmidt some championship level elimination game experience right now before the postseason that matters.
ETA with 2 aces, not to mention we now have a choice of who to throw in the first game of the regional and save the better matchup for the most important drivers seat game of the regional in game 2 next weekend.

I am on the opposite side of this. I want Schmidt to get some innings in this post season. Kade came on strong late last year, and it helped propel him into a great off-season, and come into this season with confidence. The same can happen with Schmidt. I have seen every outing Schmidt had this year, and understand he has struggled, but believe the kid can work himself into a weekend starter next year.
