sorority rowe is awful. they could that whole problem by having a fricking cop at the corner of dalrymple and the rowe...by the international center. nobody coming down dalrymple will let anyone into traffic.

dont park there... there are obvious bottle necks.. that is one. another is trying to beat the gun and cut through college town to get to stanford... they have a flow of traffic that they are going to let go... b/c 20,000 cars will be coming from down dalrymple while 500 will be coming from sorority rowe....

if plan out where you need to park to get where you need to go after the game traffic isnt bad... but if you park somewhere that is convenient to you at the time you get to the game then you are going to have problems..

I wanted to go through Hwy. 30 back to Gonzales, but I was routed from the levee lot in the opposite direction toward the USS Kidd and I-110. It was pretty bad over in that area. They had double lanes wrapping around that whole area like a maze.

River Road down and around the 13th Gate, River Center, Kidd, and then through buildings I don't even recognize. I live in Livingston and instead of taking Hwy. 30 straight to Gonzales, I had to get on 110 then 10 then 12 all the way home--just because they wouldn't let me pull out of the levee lot in the other direction. The contraflow went all kinds of crazy in the left lane after going past the River Center.

When are you tards going to learn that you simply can NOT pack that many cars on to LSU's campus and expect to just cruise on out. It is simply physically impossible for it NOT to be a mess.

You don't like... don't go.

I've "cruised on out" just about every game I've been to with the exception of this one and one other game last year. All I'm asking for is the option to turn left out of the levee lot.

Park somewhere else. The traffic flow is all laid out in the parking guide as big as day. You're bitching because you didn't plan right

I'm kind of disappointed but definitely not bitching (or calling people tards). I had to go to Timbucktu, but at least the traffic never really got to a standstill.

For what it's worth, the parking guide showed arrows from where I was in the levee lot pointing south on River Road. I was forced to go north.

People,People, pay attention to what the contraflow plan that LSU has laid out. Then park accordingly. I get in and get out with ease everytime. FYI- if you live on southside of campus don't park on North side.

Put any major CF stadium on a major river and you have the same problem.

I have found that the traffic is worse when people leave early. When everyone stays until the end, traffic seems to flow better. Don't ask me why?

To some extent. But, again, it seems the more they mess with it, the worse it gets.

Before they started rerouting traffic AWAY from campus, I used to exit Dalrymple from I-10 East and drive directly into the heart of the campus and park within 15-30 minutes. Now I have to arrive hours earlier to navigate the mess, end up driving through some of the ugliest neighborhoods BR has to offer in the hopes of parking three times further away than I used to. And the lot I traditionally parked in? 1/2 full yesterday. That's fricking ridiculous.

Why was Lee Dr closed at Burbank I haven't been to a game in awhile so I am just asking. We were going to take that back up to try and get to Perkins. We park at Alex Box. Is it under construction or is it always closed after games?

Not to mention there being no announcement in my brochure about the Game Day Parking entrances closing at 3 p.m., not even allowing me to pay the $40 I'd planned on paying, resulting in a huge number of empty spaces inside the campus and a lot less tailgating... particularly aggravating to see the lot I used to always park in sitting there half empty.

That is unbelievable. What is the logic behind this?

As for traffic it was way worse than usual. And this was a game with exits being more spread out.

No idea.

Talking with cops, we wondered if the shutoff was related to the number of tickets sold, rather than spaces taken.

Could there have been that many people that bought tickets and didn't use them? Doubtful. Could they have underestimated the number of available spaces that badly?

The south Union lot was totally empty. The horseshoe around the parade grounds and lots along Tower Drive were 3/4 full, with the side lots off of that (around Nicholson Hall and Howe-Russel) only 1/2 full. Lots further down, off South Stadium and South Campus Dr., were also 1/2-3/4 full at best.

It made no sense, and it makes less sense every year they increase their "control" over traffic.

You can't buy parking tickets ahead of time.

There were tons of unused parking on campus as well.
