which starts with recruiting

and recruiting was one of the main reasons why O was retained

and I get it, it was his first year and with all the changes, I give him a pass for this year

no idea why we don't give the same excuses for JJ though

Jaluke was brought in for one reason and one reason only. And that was to steer NO kids to LSU, he failed to do that, that is why he lost his job.

Who exactly did we miss on from NOLA last recruiting cycle? I thought the only kid we were actually interested in there was Racey and he signed with us.

I enjoyed having LF and TM as Tigers. But, what did they get us besides a highlight show? TM was dismissed and last year LF was more of a distraction than anything. Give me some kids with their head on strait, can stay out of trouble, make descent grades, and are in it for the team (not their NFL career). If these inner city kids are going to be led by racially charged coaches boycotting over a coaching staff move, then we are better off without that. There are tons of talented recruits outside the city limits of N.O. Don't let a handful of coaches dictate your program.

Who cares? Let them. The list the article gave only showed two worthwhile athletes that came out of those schools wanting to boycott. LSU will be fine.

I'm not implying that my town is any better than anyone else's. N.O. is in question here because a handful of coaches are trying to strong arm LSU's program. And, yeah, I said shitty city. Because that's a lot of people's opinion in this state even before Katrina. Thank God tourism keeps it afloat.

Link? Because two coaches have said prior to the meeting took place there would be no boycott.

Because the people you are around have the opinion that New Orleans is a shitty city does not make it a shitty city. That is your opinion and an opinion is not fact.

How fricking stupid does that sound? "People I have come across have the opinion New Orleans is shitty, so it is shitty".

It was apparent O wanted to get rid of Les's crew. I am just glad Raymond was retained. I am not faulting O for doing it but he should have came out and said he wanted start fresh or that his coordinators wanted to bring in some new guys.

Winning cures all and LSU is in a good spot to do that with two of the best coordinators in the country. You think if LSU wins big this coming season the kids won't want to play for them? Please. These coaches value their self-importance a little too much and are showing that they are doing this "boycott" for themselves and not for the kids.

Any coach who boycotts a major university without a real reason should be fired, because they aren't doing their job, and that's serving the school and the kids to the fullest.

bullshite man. The biggest attribute of O getting hired was because he was gods gift to LA recruiting. It obviously wasn't his win % and experience on the field.

This year was mediocre for pulling in LA guys.

Dumb. TM single handedly won us games in 2011 and an SEC championship. And LF7 is probably the best RB to come through LSU. Not to mention the other 20 players from the area.

You lose those guys, you lose more games...simple as that.

Can you prove this was racially motivated? No you cannot.
