I love all of the so-called traditionalists. If you were "truly traditionalist" then you would favor the Nike Combat gold helmets and their color scheme over the current yellow color. Maybe the real old timers would disagree.

Have you people gone mad? The tiger logo with LSU above it MAKES it the best helmet in college football. I'm not a true traditionalist.. I think the gold they used (like we used to supposedly) looks weak and too much like Tulsa/Notre Dame/Boston College/Georgia Tech/Navy/etc. Our color scheme and old school tiger head/helmet logo is a staple at LSU. One glance and there'e no doubt what team it is. The uni's on Saturday could've been anybody.
Stop this selling out to Nike shite and stick with what works.

It was a fun change, but I like the brighter gold. It is iconic and people do know LSU by the brighter gold and purple.

Go with old gold helmets and pants with white jerseys. Adjust the logo slightly to show up better or just go back to numbers on the helmets.

I liked the gold helmets, i thought there was a real lack of color on the rest of the uni though. They could at least have incorporated some gold or purple...look at Mizzou's uni's....I really like that color scheme.
