LSU didn't play UT in 2009. 2010 and 2011 are the two times Chavis faced UT while at LSU. He hasn't faced Kiffen before this upcoming game.

Not specifically beyond Chavis not appreciating how Kiffin screwed Tenn.

Chavis was fired by UT in 2008 when Fulmer was fired. The University cleaned house on the coaching staff--not Kiffin.

Nope.

All the assistants were fired after Kiffin took the job. Not before then.

Monte Kiffin is Lane's dad. Rumor has it he accepted the Tenn. DC position long before he quit the Tampa bay Bucs DC position. (Not confirmed)

The Chief had top tier defenses at Tenn. LSU was lucky he became available.

Chris Kiffin, lane's brother, is the DL coach at Ole Miss.

The following is from someone who claims that their friend saw this happen. I have also heard a former Tennessee player say the same thing.

When Kiffin came in he was encouraged by the AD to keep Chavis. Kiffin scheduled a meeting with Chavis to offer him the job and to discuss the defensive coaching staff that would have to include Ed Ogeron. Chavis arrived at the meeting ready to accept the job and was told Kiffin would be with him shortly. Several people went in and out the door including the AD. Chavis waited for almost an hour and then was told by the AD that they had just hired Kiffin’s dad.

IF THAT IS TRUE...then I hope that Chavis teaches young Kiffin a lesson on November 8th! Chavis is the MAN! And his defense will be THE MEN on the field!
