So he's cherry picking. Got it, thanks ben.

Whats really funny is he also is mysteriously absent now that he's been faced with facts that disrupt his narrative.
I bet he's just busy working on some TPS reports that he needs to get to his supervisor before the close of business today.

Poor guy. You had to google the definition of a word everyone else understands. Just to use it
Explains a lot about your posting, alter.

no, I actually know what it means. I was copying and pasting it here in this thread (for the second time) to try and educate you, since you are either painfully unaware, or worse, aware and just being obtuse.

No they don't. It's hilarious watching them fumble around trying to change the subject.

Cherrypicking what? That the 2016 class has one offensive starter? You are lost.

You ask what he's cherry picking and then, in the very next sentence, point out a cherry picked set of criteria.
Someone is definitely lost, it isn't me though.

Yes. yes it is. When you decide to make a point. If you ever decide to do so. It's your point. I don't get to change your point and call it what it isn't or change it into something else.
You are either lost or you're being full on ignorant on purpose.

How many games did Dee Anderson, Stephen Sullivan, Lloyd Cushenberry and Donavaughn Campbell start in 2018? The answer is 19 games. So it's a lie that there was only one offensive starter in the class. It's also disingenuous because those same four players played in a combined 41 games in 2018 and included the #2 and #4 WRs on the team in terms of numbers.

He said that the 2018 season had one starter on offense from the 2016 recruiting class.
based on the very fact that the 2016 recruiting class had 10 offensive players, one of which was a RB who became a ILB, there was 9 offensive players.
so I am not sure how much offensive contribution could be expected from 9 players, but apparently it was a lot.
so lets look at who did play in 2018.
QB - Burrow was a grad transfer who beat out McMillan (2015) and Brennan (2017). There was no QB on the roster from 2016 who could have contributed at the QB spot. Lindsey Scott transferred during the 2017 season, iirc.
RB - Brossette (2015) and Edwards-Helaire (2017) were the main contributors. Again, no one on the roster who was a RB from the 2016 class other than Devin White, whose contributions on offense were null, but he managed to chip in on defense a little bit.
WR - Jefferson (2017) and Sullivan (2016) were LSUs most productive receivers. Sullivan and Anderson look to be in line to contribute in a big way this season.
TE - Foster Moreau (2015) represented number 18 very well as a senior. Jamal Pettigrew (2016) was in line to contribute in 2018 but an injury cost him the season, and also by most accounts, forced the offense into different personnel groupings.
OL - This group was a mish mash all season due to injuries. I believe 7 different starting lineups were used in 13 games. The 2016 class had 4 offensive linemen. One of them was the starting center. One switched to defense. One left (Allen) and Campbell has not lived up to his recruiting billing.
Meanwhile, Brumfield (2014) started most of the season. so did Charles (2017), Deculus (2017), and Lewis (2018) and Hines (2018, recruited as a DT). Traore (2018) also contributed.
TL;DR - the offensive production of the 2016 class is limited by the very nature of there not being a lot of people from the 2016 class to produce. But by all means, keep bashing Miles for a class that was ranked #2 in the country and which will see as many as 12 people from that class contribute this season. I swear it doesn't make you both look like a couple of negative nancies.

LULZ
Not that Miles didn't leave O any talent, not that Miles didn't leave O any offensive talent, not that Miles didn't leave O any talent in the 2016 class, not that Miles didn't leave O any offensive talent in the 2016 class, not that Miles didn't leave O any offensive starters from the 2016 class... Nope, now it's MILES DIDN'T LEAVE O MORE THAN 1 REGULAR STARTER FROM THE 2016 CLASS!
Gotta love the arbitrary, subjective requirement of "regular". Does Dee Anderson qualify since he started 1/3 of the games? Wait, I already now the answer to that.

Nobody is bashing miles alter.
We're simply pointing out why there was a shortage of upperclassmen along the offensive line in 2018.
It has nothing to do with Miles.

I'm not trying to change anyone's point ben. I'm laughing at his proclamation that he's not cherry picking anything, when that's exactly what he's doing.
I'm completely shocked that this all went over your head. COMPLETELY SHOCKED I TELL YOU.
