#Plaquemine product Nelson Jenkins III (
@NelsonJenkins71
) confirmed Tuesday he would opt out of the 2020 season.

He clarifies Wednesday that his plans remain at #LSU. Says he is opting out of this fall’s adjusted season, but plans to return to the Tigers — not to transfer.

Jenkins said he’s staying at LSU, nothing about opting out or in. He could still be opting out this season and just staying in school or doing some team activities.

To me this just means he’s not hitting the transfer portal.

This is a tough time for all these players
My advice, stay the course, don't make any rash decisions.
Let it all play out and make the best decision for yourself.
Don't let COVID stop you from pursuing your dreams.
Stick with it and you may eventually be rewarded.

This opting in and out stuff is getting almost as bad as recruits constantly committing and decommitting. I know it's a lot to ask but how about trying to: think, make an informed decision, and then stick with your decision.

Cue up the Brett Favre SC commercial, “He’s coming back.”

Exactly. They ran with the wrong headline.

Its a free year so no need to sit out unless worried about covid. It's a puzzling situation if he's not transferring. Have to assume a covid scare.

Did he “opt out” because he knew he wouldn’t have the grades?
