It kinda amuses me that some LSU fans seek ways to knock being ranked in the polls. Much like some seek ways to knock the 07 NC as a means of knocking Miles. Confusing, but each to our own.

If you claim that 8 & 5 and 9 & 4 are not mediocre, then you just redefined the meaning of mediocre. Not to mention that we struggled in games we should have won easily the past two seasons and lost other games we should have won. Plus even with all the talent LSU had on the team last year, it finished a whopping 112th in offense, but according to a loser like you that isn’t mediocre.

Personally, I give Coach the next 2 seasons to bring me another West or SEC title.
I believe the overall results of his last 5 seasons warrent such a move on the part of LSU and I have seen nothing from LSU leadership which would lead me to think he gets canned before that unless he pulls a Tiger Woods type thing.

I've never said any different, I just would like to see more people behind him while he's here. I attend or watch the games I know what's what. He's slacked off but overall has a great record, that's fact, but while unpleasant, his slacking doesn't = anything but a great career as our coach. 08 not very good but hang over (still worse than what it should have been) I was upset but still happy. 09, no excuse for how we performed on offense but we improved on D and made a reasonable showing. As far as I'm concerned, this is it, we have the players and we'd better show up.

Miles had enough character to kick a very talented QB off the team. Most SEC coaches would have covered up his problems and kept him to win a few extra games that year.

Not mediocre for a generic DI college football program.
Mediocre for the LSU Football Program given the last 10 years of history.
