Really? How, exactly? Are we here on the rant going to work on fixing the weaknesses? I sincerely doubt that any discussion any of us has on this board is going to be "productive" in the sense that it will help correct any problems. About the only possible problem for this team that could be in any way affected by discussions on this board is negativity of the fan base. And for that problem, it is certainly NOT more productive to talk about weaknesses rather than what we do well.

I'm not suggesting that this should become a smoke-blowing site where nothing negative is ever said. If you have complaints and want to bitch about them, go ahead--it is the Rant, after all.

But don't delude yourself that it's in any way "productive" to run down our players and coaches or their performances.

has Les Miles broken 50 pts in a game as HC at LSU? just curious

56-3 vs. North Texas in 2005, 58-10 vs. Louisiana Tech in 2007.

ok i am a lsu tiger worshiper i've watched them since i was young and will watch them til i die. I am a current student at lsu and never miss a game I am a die hard fan. But if you watch hatch and lee play and not be severly dissapointed you are stupid. After app state i was allright with them it was their first games they deserve a pass. But against north texas who i think has one of if not the worst pass defense in the nation neither one could hit wide open receivers. They made bad decisions. Jarrett Lee through the football almost through the uprights on fourth down with a receiver that was open. hatch overthrew a screen pass. These are not very impressive quarterbacks. I hope they get much better but judging from these two games i don't know how much better they are able to be. If you think we are better off without perriloux lay down the peace pipe. He might have cause distractions off the field but he was very talented on the field. With him we would have a much more balanced offense and probably be ranked in the top 3 in the polls.

P.s. However, with crowton i think will be fine. and charles scott is GOD.

It is called the TIGER RANT, not the Pretty Sunny and Happy Tiger Board!

I wonder if Chicken has that domain name already reserved?

Hmmm...the Sunny Happy Idyllic Tiger message board...could use the initials for short.

bt u are an idiot. 3rd grade is not middle school. Plus hatch and lee has shown nothing but how to throw 5 yrd passes and how to overthrow open receivers. Receivers that should go in the first and second rounds of the NFL draft. I have and will always be an lsu football fan so when I want to complain about are quarerbacks I will u hear me

There were several rantards on here who said we would be better off with out RP

RP is an exceptional athlete that probably cost himself millions due to his immaturity and lack of discipline. I would have loved to have him lead our team if only he had a better attitude; however, he was a ticking time bomb and he was going to explode sooner than later. Les did the right thing in releasing him.

RP would have had growing pains this season, it's not like he started 8-10 games or was highly experienced. Yeah, he obviously was more talented but that doesn't mean he was great at reading pass coverages. JJ will become better utilized with much better speed than Hatch or Lee, wish he had taken more snaps. I am not cheerleading the QB crew as they need to play better, but I do think Gustav slowed down the entire offensive progression. We'll see, if LSU protects the ball good things will happen. My biggest concern is Trindon getting the big head and losing the handle on some punts at AU.

"LSU is the best thing that Louisiana has going for it. But, much of the population is so negative that they seem to relish bad news and the opportunity to "run down" anything and "eat their own"...every chance they get...
To these so-called fans, you don't deserve LSU or this team. There, I got it off my chest! Decent fans all accross America would die for one season like last year...now, LSU has another shot this year at a Two-peat...but for some, the QBs aren't perfect yet so they run them down like dogs. I say it again...you don't deserve this "damn strong team" or it's damn fine staff"

Phil2012, I couldn't agree more. Some people react as though the players and the coaches owe them a perfect performance in all respects and at all times. Errors are, apparently, deemed as personal slights against those type of posters. Otherwise, why come on here and deride certain players or coaches by their names or positions?

"I don't think for one second that weaknesses should not be discussed, but some people have come on here and taken shots at certain players that are just doing their jobs. They're 18-23 years old. They're going to make mistakes. But, when someone criticizes a player and claims their suckage is of epic proportions, when they truly do not know what is truly going on, I have a problem with that."

I consider myself to be an avid LSU fan. I confess that I can "lose it" from time to time while I'm watching TV when something goes wrong in a game. But, the reason that I finally joined this board was to address exactly what you have observed. Whether anyone is entitled to his opinion or not, it is rank immaturity and wholly counter-productive to get on this website and denounce by name certain players or positions (such as QB, when everyone knows exactly who is being maligned). People need to keep that kind of stuff to themselves. Otherwise, I'm going be on their cases on this message board.

It's not productive critisizing our "Tigers" when future Tigers are looking at some of your total BS you post!

I mean we could call this tigercirclejerkdroppings.com and only talk about positive things. Maybe you should make that site. LSU could go all season without a win and I would still be at every game, but discussing the weaknesses is far more productive than discussing everything we do well.

Discussing a weakness is fine. Certain people on this site are attacking specific players and that is
way over the fricking line.
