re: Nebraska turned down Joe Burrow in 2018. Their QB tonight? 2 of 8, 3 Ints.

LOL I'll take "hot takes" for 500 Alex.

You're right that Joe Burrow wasn't going to Nebraska. You just choose to ignore the reasons the OP is telling you why.

Nebraska is terrible. Struggled to beat South Alabama and Illinois. Losing to Ohio State is nothing to be ashamed of but they got MANHANDLED from the opening kick. Utterly and completely dominated - at home, at night, with GameDay on campus.

Frost was made out to be a genius - I'm not seeing it. He caught lightning in a bottle at UCF for one good year, with a really good QB and playing in a weak conference.

Usually good coaches see a lot of improvement in year 2. Certainly Frost will have more time at Nebraska, but they look to be another bad team this year.

Give the guy some time to get a couple recruiting classes. Nebraska clearly doesn't have a full deck.

I'm not sure Adrian Martinez is the answer either. Which was the point of the OP, I think.

It’s easy to say this with the year Burrow is having. He was 3rd string and was getting beat out by everyone including the waterboys at OSU.

He wasn’t this caliber catching those splinters in OSU or he wouldn’t have had to transfer.

Frost may be as stupid as Les Miles.

Um what?

He was battling it out with Haskins who went and set almost every program record.

Burrow's first 4 games in this offense vs Haskins first 4 games in very much the same offense - Passing stats:

Burrow - 100 of 124; 80.6% 1520 yards; 17 TDs 2 INTS

Haskins - 87 of 115; 76.6%; 1104 yards; 16 TDs; 1 INT
