Another issue with this is the top teams will use everyone else as a feeder to them and steal every top player via the transfer portal. Miss on a player via recruiting? Steal them away after 1-2 years.

Parity just went out the motherfricking window.

Sign 20, steal 15 via the portal, cut the guys you don’t want.
Repeat.

Alabama has been playing by their own rules for like 10 years in regards to recruiting.

This just levels the playing field and makes all those grey shirts and "medical" retirements go to shite.

Recruiting more than 25 is now fair game for everyone and not just bama.

Same dumb comment over and over. You hear someone else say it an you repeat it. Then someone else says it an don and fricking on.

First , there is no such thing as a grey shirt, dose not exist. PERIOD.

Second, There are no recruiting rules which benefit Alabama that any other school cannot utilize. NONE.

BAMA does not sign more than 25 per recruiting cycle, unless they signed less than 25 the previous season and use the carry over scholarships. This rule applies to everyone. EVERYONE.

I despise Alabama for many reasons, but these are totally falsehoods. But, as always the floor is open to anyone to try to prove it. Give specifics.

Your right it's gray shirt. My bad. It's when a recruit delays enrollment a semester. To say it doesn't exist is stupid.

I didn't say anything of the sort. If you don't think Saban medically retired players to get those scholarships back then you're stupid. It's not against the rules but it's shady as frick.

ETA: well shite, I guess I did say that, but they still utilized it a ton for kids that didn't pan out.

Spelling is irrelevant.

Ther is no such thing as a gray / grey shirt. What you are referring to is an un-enrolled person like many high school graduates who have not enrolled in college for whatever reason. They have no connexity to any university

If they sign with a school and enroll in the spring semester they will become a part of the incoming recruiting class, most of whom were early signees in December. There is nothing nefarious about this, nor does it give BAMA or anyone else a recruiting advantage.

Right. Thank Nature’s God that coaches are loyal.

The average coaching tenure is about 5 years, which is longer than the average eligibility of a player.

Some coaches are there decades.

Comparing the mobility of coaches in a 30+ year career to that of student athlete in a 3-5 year window is retarded.

This is not a win for players. Programs will have no reason to be loyal to the kids they sign. If you are supposed to be a superstar and end up just a solid backup, you will get cut by the elite programs.

In my opinion this levels the playing field between the
LSU`s and Bama`s. Now NS is going to have to out coach
his major opponents and not out talent them.We have seen
the last couple of seasons when NS has played against like
talent ,LSU 19,GOE 21 ,CLEM he does`nt allways win.He will
be the first to tell you he`s a better recruiter than coach.
If you noticed NS all of a sudden wants parity in college
football, well we know this is very self serving trying to
get his fan base ready for more losses which will be coming
because of NIL and scholarship #`s upped will mean other
programs will increase talent and be on the same level as
them.I`ll take BK`s game day coaching over Nicks anytime.
