this wasn't on JJ. Make FTs down the stretch and we advance comfortably.
About the only move I'd question would be this: when it's clear you're missing FTs due to fatigue, why not put Gray in and tell him to draw the foul? He was fresh; you could have subbed Quarterman out around the 3 minute mark and got him a rest. Put him back in with about a minute left

I think that will be the saddest thing. Mickey and Martin are not ready for the NBA but they will still enter the draft and disappear.

You coach your team out of that mentality in that situation.
Sure the players are to blame, but to absolve Jones because he wasn't shooting the free throws is just plain ignorant.
Any good coach worth their salt could have coached at least another 2 points out of the LSU team down the stretch.
The players literally had the same mentality the entire way through the last 10 minutes of the game. THAT'S on coaching.
