There needs to be an NCAA rule that if a player is suspended he and the organization are formally notified. Any type of punitive action for any other company requires a formal and timely notification process.

The NCAA runs its business like a clown show.

The bigger question is how did Clemson know this was changed and decide to report it days before kickoff?

Cooley had a similar situation and played in the ACC. He was fine. This is clearly a case of the NCAA dropping the ball, Clemson SOMEHOW knowing that, and the NCAA going "oh shite, actually yeah sorry guys" 2 days before the game.

I don’t known…Maybe Clemson did what LSU should have done. Watch game film of your portal player, see punches thrown and player ejected and other player for ByU publicly suspended and inquire.

Clemson had nothing to lose by bringing it up. LSU did. Ask for forgiveness, not permission.

Inquire to who? The NCAA?

If a cop came to your house with no warrant you'd probably walk him right to the case of Cubans your father-in-law gave you that were too strong for you, wouldn't you?

Why should they? To prevent this from happening you dumb motherfricker.

The penalty was recorded as an Unsportsmanlike. It was upgraded later and Houston was told, but LSU would have no way to know that. What we knew from the game record is that he wouldn’t be suspended. That should have been the final word if there wasn’t an official way for it to be recorded.

Why would LSU have any reason to have reached out to Houston about this if the call on the game record didn’t come with a suspension? We took a starter off their roster, so do you think they would have told us what they knew if we had reached out?

Settle the frick down. This is an NCAA rules issue. Things like this have to be clear for schools that players transfer to.

The NCAA either knew and didn't inform LSU until 2 days before the first game or they didn't know and didn't inform LSU until 2 days before the first game. IDK which is worse.

They're the governing body and continue to prove themselves irrelevant and worthless either way.
