To be fair, it seems like majority of the rant does not shite on Napier. Just the people who somehow have used “coaches at ULL” to equate him to Orgeron.
The absurdity of that line of thinking really just speaks for itself.

Agree. He is great coach for ULL type colleges. He really don’t have resume yet to get LSU job.

Napier loves Lafayette...He is making 2 mil/yr. He is not going anywhere. He wants to build this program even more before he leaves....

Napier is exactly the type of mid-level mid-program local swamp boat pick that LSU will end up with after spectacularly getting rejected by any coach worth a shite. That said, LSU will be able to add an impressive amount of Texas Bowl trophies to its collection over the next 10 years.

There are things to really like about Napier. He has the concept of program administration down (a rarity in the group of 5 coaches and something CEO clearly doesn’t). He finds creative ways to strengthen that program with limited resources and coaches up his limited talent. He can lock down the offensive coordinator side of tbe ball and hire a coordinator he can teach his offense to.
My main concern about him (and others from small programs) is how he deals with the egos of the 5 star athletes and preventing them from turning into locker room cancer. I fully believe that is the stumbling block of small to big coaches— see Sumlin, Taggert, and a long list of big names who flopped after going to premiere programs.

I hate to tell you, but Napier would take the job the second it was offered to him.

Where was OP when ULL was barely scraping by shitty South Alabama last week or Georgia Southern the week before? App St played like arse. Napier will get owned in a real conference. See a guy like Neal Brown.

Go read what Nick Saban has to say about Napier. There is a reason UL went after him at ASU. ASU was crazy not to make him head coach, instead went with Herm Edwards.

Lol, this the same guy who highly recommended Houston Nutt?

I hate to burst your bubble my friend, but if Napier is offered the job he is taking dat — I mean technically, the dude could commute so in that sense you would be right at least

Hes coaching at ull dude. So hes a bigger fish in a pond full of minnows, who cares and what does that really prove in relation to LSUs situation? He would be coming into an ocean full of sharks, so he better frickin well prove to be a shark or he wont survive here. He wont get the job. Thats just too big of a jump imo. He needs to get some power 5 experience and prove he can translate his success to this level of ball first. Both he and ull benefitted greatly from a fricked up covid season and won a game vs an overrated iowa st team early in the season. They got all hyped up this year and ended up getting drilled by texas.

LOL...Okay. Funny, he has turned down two other SEC head football coaching jobs. AND THAT IS A FACT....No difference with LSU... Why would he want to go to BTR, and deal with the same thing Coach O is dealing with.

Wouldn't it be ironic if he took sabans place

Uh, LSU is alot different than south carolina and even auburn. Big frickin difference. Mainly in recruiting; where LSU has no in state competition in a hotbed state for talent. Weve also won 3 nattys with 3 consecutive head coaches, so he knows for a fact if he does his job correctly he WILL win a title here as well. Youre dead wrong about that, lol. If LSU offers him the job, which i dont think they should or will, napier will come to LSU. Thats a fact. So, dont be so sure, only to be crushed when it happens bc it definitely would if he ever got that chance.

True statement. He will stay in Lafayette for a few more years. Saban will become AD, and then he will hire his replacement. Who knows, will be Napier or Dabo to replace him.........
Posted on 10/12/21 at 11:53 pm to luciouslou
There were posts last week saying Napier sucks and he will lose to App State
Posted on 10/12/21 at 11:55 pm to ImayGoLesMiles
There are many CREDIBLE Head Coaches that turned down an offer to be HC at LSU. I promise you, Napier will not even interview for the job....GEAUX look elsewhere...

Lol, ok man. Youre completely delusional, but ok.
