Brennan came back early in Kelly’s tenure.

Wasn't announced until like January right he was coming back? I'm pretty sure it was around the time Cinc was in the playoffs and couldn't make it official. You might be right though. In any case BK will have his hand in the offense so even without an OC he could convince Brennan it was his offense.
