He’s going to have success wherever he goes. He’s a great young mind. I think we hang on to him another year but look at it this way. The system has already been implemented, Ensminger knows it and the offensive assistants know it.

With this much success trust me, Orgeron is only going to hire a guy that can continue that same system. The wideouts have the work ethic now. We will remain a spread offense with those same route concepts. We’ve always had the athletes. I have no doubt if we hire another spread guy that because of our talent, the offense will still be elite. With that being said, pay Joe Brady whatever it takes.

I’m sure the downvotes will come but lets not panic.

Joe Brady will be at LSU for the 2020 season. He isn't going anywhere yet.

It’ll suck if he leaves, but we have his playbook.

more importantly then him coming in and installing some throwing concepts, he taught the wideouts how to really play the position like pros. To me that’s far more valuable then play install. This sounds bad, but there are a lot of Joe Brady’s out there. Grinding away waiting for a shot. So much about hiring in the NFL and major college is going with the experienced guy but the amount of young coaching talent that is out there is staggering right now.

Hope you are right. The fact there has been no confirmation is troubling. The silence seems to point to him leaving.

Just have to find another good coach. That’s what the great ones do.

Correct. Brady has not even called a game without E at his side, and may not have called a full game then.

We have no idea about the gameplanning and who has it ready to go. E seems to be carrying around the playbook IMO.

I love Joe Brady, but the secret to being great is knowing what you dont know. Brady has to see that he has a lot of growth left and would be fool hardy to leave this current situation. A young coach could do a whole lot worse than learning from O an this history, E and his experience, hell look at Robinson, Grimes, and Joseph....decades of experience to draw from.

Great point, how many of us were like “Who the frick is Joe Brady.” “Or just because Sean Payton likes him doesn’t mean he’s great!”

Then boom, there’s a bunch unknown guys out there, we just got lucky and hit the jack pot. He was simply an offensive quality assistant and turned out to be a legit OC.

Can we just save these threads for after the national championship or put them on the coaching changes board?

I wish it were that easy.

The plays remain but the timing & sequencing is unique to joe. We don’t know if they have the same feel.

I feel like people keep saying this but don't seem to realize that a playbook is fine, but it doesn't replace Brady or even close to it actually. Then people say you just bring in another spread guy to run Brady's playbook, but that is highly unlikely as the new coach will have their own playbook which may or may not be better than Brady's.

Realistically, we need to hold on to Brady for as long as possible and I believe O will do that. I just don't get why people are so convinced if he does leave that you just give his playbook to E or some other spread coach and keep it going. It's not that easy at all. We just have to hope that O and Brady have talks before he goes and they can prepare his replacement ahead of time and not make it a scramble.

I don’t think he is leaving, but he is at risk of his stock taking a hit next year without Burrow.

I was thinking the same thing. Brady learned from coaching under Sean Peyton.

Another young analyst on LSU's shadow staff will learn from Brady. I am hoping he is around for at least 3 years.
