We always want to look at the receivers and QBs, but our O line just doesn't look like a good pass blocking line. I'm sure in practice the emphasis is on run blocking, but we need to get the pass blocking on the same level as run blocking.

There's no reason a 3 and 4 man rush should put pressure on Brandon when we have the line that we do. If he has time to sit and look at his receivers, he won't have to make all these throws on the run. And it would also give the receivers a chance to break off their guy and get more open.

Brandon played great, don't get me wrong, but if he had better protection he would be even better.

I didn't see enough passing struggles to make a thread about it but if you need to have a scapegoat then look no further than the receivers that dropped balls today.

Hopefully they can work on upping the passing game when LSU meets stiffer competition .... Especially when you, I, the crowd know other teams will key on Fournette...

They do so much run blocking I'm hard pressed to think pass blocking is an adjustment. Also, the more receivers get the timing down, the less time Harris will need in the pocket.

They need a lot of work on pass blocking. However, when we needed to pass to give us some breathing room, we executed. And that is the biggest thing - knowing we can if necessary.

They had one or two bad plays in protection. The only negative about the passing game was receivers dropping passes. Harris hit them in both hands on all but maybe two throws, and they dropped some big gains out there. Other than that the o line protected well overall, and Harris was on point. O line killed us with penalties.

We don't throw nearly enough 7-10 yd passes. We either throw it sideways or go for the home run most of the time.

Did you mean to title this LSU's dropped passes? Because the QB is not struggling for the most part.

So other teams will key on the same
guy that the other 3 teams have keyed on to beat us?

Good luck with that...

My take, the receivers dropped catchable balls today.

I'm more worried about penalties, this was a big issue today.

He hit TE throws in the other games. Slants? Have there been any? I think Rish was on to something when he said BH is late on some throws and isn't anticipating where the receivers are supposed to be. Stuff that can be improved on in Oct.

What about the throws BH made in the 1st half?
