Coach Miles in my opinion is a good coach is he a great coach I dont think so. My reasons why he is not a great coach. His strengths are in offense specifically offensive line and offensive play calling. Those two things friends are the two things that we lack the most. I know we are all tired of hearing it, me included that Nick Saban is the best coach in college football at the present time and in order for us to compete for a national title I think it is a must that we act before it is too late. Now is he a good coach I think we all know he is a good coach you dont win 8 9 10 games a year in the SEC without having Good coaching ability. He is a great recruiter and also a great public speaker with class that represents LSU very well. In saying all that it is not enough for the majority of LSU fans, we got use to winning the titles and being in the national title hunt most of the time.... My answer to all this is one coach and one coach only and that coach in my opinion is Will Muschamp. Sorry such a long read....

Les Miles is a very good recruiter, average game day coach. But would you seriously want to go through the replacement process? LSU could, and had done much worse.

Problem is the SEC has some of the most elite coaches in the nation. Competition just keeps getting ratcheted up. There are not two or three out there (replacements) who I feel 90% sure would do better. I am not knocking those wanting a replacement, nor am I a "keep em at all cost" type of guy, just giving my two cents.

Yeah we could have given it another go with Hallman or Tepper with a promotion to HC.

Im talking about a young hungry Nick saban.Guys if you want 8-4 every year then keep what we got. He has proved once sabans players are left what we are left with.

If Miles took another job, we'd have to. And LSU pays very well now, this isn't the Joe Dean days of economic coaching hires.

LSU football has bills to pay, if we have to hire another coach, it won't be a bargain basement replacement.

Who is this "young hungry Nick Saban?" And how do you know?

Kind of like when Michigan ran off Lloyd Carr for RR. I betcha they would love to have Carr back for a spell.

Not arguing, but if you think finding a better coach is guaranteed, you are mistaken. Its probably a 25% chance.

Without punctuation or paragraphs? Or, the "this is my take" variety?

I guess Les will start worrying about what you think as soon as you are hired as the Athletic Director. When will that be?

The SEC is no place for guy to cut his teeth as a head coach. I like Muschamp and think he'll be a great head coach one day, but you don't hand the keys to a race car to a guy who just got his license.

yes.. thank you Muschamp!...i've been saying this for 4 years. Last year He was so fired up with his D that as one of his players came back to the sideline after a 3 and out...he head butted his player and blood started gushing from his head!!! That's the coach I want coaching my Tigers!...we let him go to Auburn now Texas and probably won't ever get him back...thanks to this Big Ten play calling prick....I still Love the Tigers...and always will even if Miles is the coach. It's just frustrating and everyone is looking for answers....who knows??? maybe Miles isn't the problem but all the fingers are being pointed to him
