Heypau what setting were you using? I have trouble trying to get pics clear.
I was only able to take 50 pictures tonight. Half of those were blurry because I had to keep moving because the d-bag in front of me and his hat kept moving in front of me. The other half had his hat in the way.
Next week for the vandy game I'm gonna have a LOT better seats, so I should get some very good shots. I want to make sure my camera is set for the best possible outcome.

i have a Nikon D40
i had my big lens, but i had it on auto for most of the night, and was only focused in at about 70mm-95mm for most of the shots..
i did turn OFF the flash, the lights are pretty bright, which usually means good pictures...
here are a few more pictures, look to the left for the categories, and sub folders!
My LSU Pictures
enjoy

Well I can't wait for next week to get the good pictures. As long as someone doesn't have their hat at a 90 degree angle and sitting in front of me.

Was that the 55-200mm kit lens? Or maybe something else?
Doesn't look like you were using a f/2.8 lens. It sucks that to get a really fast lens in that range (usually 70-300mm), you have to spend $1500!
Great pics!
I just bought the D40 and I'm already looking forward to upgrading to theD90 or D300.
Keep it up.

Thanks for the pics.
Here's what I notice about this one:
Get those dead-arse fat cats away from courtside and put the students there.
The fat cats there just to see and be seen can sit at courtside on the other side.

If anyone wants to know why the P-Mac isn't any louder/rowdier just look at the pic where CJ is slam dunking. Look at the reaction of the players compared to the furniture dressed like people behind them. Unbelievable. Not even a change in their expression. What the heck are they doing at the game????!!!

its funny to see the bench players before and after CJ slammed it
It's even funnier to see the man and (I presume) his wife on the left side of the picture about 2 rows up. They didn't move. Everybody else reacts to the dunk and they didn't even move their hands. Same exact pose for both of them in both pictures.

Nice shots Paul. I always bring my camera when I go to - it's awesome to combine watching the Tigers play basketball with your photography hobby.
I plan on having a 200mm f/2.8 L prime for my Canon next year. :)

Why stop there? How about the $8000 600mm f/4?
