Thanks for sharing that story. Prayers sent for TJ and your family.

Someone needs to compile all of these great stories we hear about coach Miles and send it to the athletic department (and those bastards at ESPN).

I realize that many coaches visit hospitals and the like. It's part of the job. However, so many of the stories I've heard about Coach Miles go above and beyond.

After reading things like this is when I'm proudest to be a Tiger.

Great story, thank you for sharing.

I would think deep down the posters here who rag on Miles as LSU's coach reluctantly admit he's a helluva guy.

I have always been someone who has ragged on his coaching ability, but never once have i questioned the mans character or that he is a great individual, He is a top notch man and i don't say that reluctantly at all

I misread it as TK. I thought it was going to be some kind of joke.

Very touching story. God Bless you and your family.

Thats really a great story but honestly, what coach doesnt do this type of thing?

Its pretty standard practice for all head coaches.

You know, some just can't let a guy offer up his appreciation for what HE sees as another doing the "extra mile" type thing without throwing some BS in the OP face.

Each to our own, but some of us need to allow others to express their feelings of thanks without throwing their own warped "no big deal" into the mix for no good reason.

Sorry for your loss, it is heart breaking to think about ...

It was passed on to me by a wiser man than myself that the true definition of "Character is doing the right thing when no one is looking" ... this pretty much describes the kind of person who is our head coach.

Thanks for sharing your story ... God Bless You and Your family
