My grandson asked Joe, "Why do you take so many hits like that?"

My grandson has watched a lot of LSU football and has seen Joe's toughness on display, so it was no surprise that he asked Joe, "Why do you take so many hits like that?" LSU's Heisman QB responded with a broad smile, "because I like to." My grandson's response to that was, "I want to be just like you!"
My 12-year-old grandson's team is undefeated and playing this Saturday in a mini Superbowl. As part of their reward, they practiced in LSU's practice facility. My daughter arrived early and was sort of confused as far as where they were meeting in the building to practice, her and my grandson ended up in an area where Channel 9 was interviewing Coach O and Joe Burrow was throwing the football. My grandson went over to Joe and asked for a picture and got one with both Joe Burrow and Coach O. I'd like to thank Coach O and Joe for their courtesy, it was so Coach O and Joe Cool!

No really related to your post but nonetheless about a young kid. Your post reminded me about a 7 yo boy sitting in front of me at the Bama game. When the game was over, tge kid yells out "Ive waited 7 years for this win!".

Awesome! When I was your grandson’s age Bert Jones was quarterback. I idolized him and would’ve given anything at the time to experience what your grandson did. Kudos to him!
