Unlike Iowa unfortuneately losing NFL talent early is a problem for LSU normally we reload but we almost lost our entire starting defense last year to the NFL. We are young upfront and honestly our Dline and LBers are our weakness this year. Don't come up in here and act like Iowa is peaking if you guys beat us it will probably be because of our youth and when exactly has Iowa played for a national championship? Like 30 years ago Chuck long
And that was one and done.

Actually, since Iowa is a developmental program the early losses to the NFL have really hurt us. We have lost two junior LTs (Bulaga and Reiff), Shonn Greene and Amari Spievey early that likely would have won us a national title in 2009.

So am I.... I have no problem with the loyalty for your team... Its just that you are spewing shite that you nothing about.[LIKE KNOWING] how much talent difference there is between LSU and Iowa... I hope for a good game... But IF LSU comes to play...Iowa is in trouble....FACT... If you think Iowa beats LSU by 10 points??? You are cray............

Well, since they call it a QB rating I kinda figured that's how they rated QBs

Par for the course...cherry picking.

Clemson sucks

Well, Ohio st opened as a 3 point favorite over Clemson and the line hasn't budged..so what does that say of the public's perception of Ohio State? Found a way to knock you're own conference.

As just mentioned to the other hawk dumbass. Your strength is in your averageness as a team and in the whole college football picture. Average players, average coaches, = players not highly regarded as NFL talent so they stay four years and stay for an average coach that was once hot. You stay average by staying in a shitty conference where players don't think like players and 5 * recruits do at LSu, Alabama do. These bowls don't mean shite anymore to a lot of these future NFL players just don't think like that anymore. Sportcenter, big contracts do. So it is what it is now look at college basketball now. Must underdog teams that make noise in March are the senior laiden teams that make runs.

Wish I could agree with your conclusion. They just weren't ever ranked high enough that year. Iowa might have played for but not won. Don't get me wrong, good team, great defense, but that was a typical Iowa offense. Ranked in the middle among Big Ten in scoring.

Dude that is over a 5 year period we lost like 10 players in one draft last year alone. Gtfo

eta: my bad you picked one year in the last 30 that Iowa had a few decent players. This shite happens almost every year for us this year it will be on offense.

We were ranked #3 when Stanzi went down. We should have had Shonn Greene on that team. Nearly every player on D is in the NFL. That was one hell of a football team.

What I do know is that Mettenberger pretty much made your season, so my game prediction goes from a pick 'em to advantage Iowa by about 10 points...worse if Jennings plays like a true freshman.

Mettenberger was a different QB this year. For someone who fancies themselves a football scholar you seem oblivious to the impact cam has had.

10 points is laughable. You are a joke. If you think lsu won't run the ball up and down the field on a 7 man front I question if that cold weather isn't killing brain cells.
