Do you have some secret film on Jennings we don't know about???? Right neither does Iowa....

Iowa's defensive game plan is to make a team one dimensional. You'll be forced to beat us through the air.

You really think you are gonna stop LSU's running game??????

Except against EVERY ranked team you have played this year....

I don't understand what your referring to, compared to the other Iowa fans I think my posts are somewhat reasonable.

I didn't know you all knew how good Jennings is going to be in his first start ever.

Yes. They are a bad team.

We will keep seven in the box and be just fine.

So there it is. So again now...what you are saying is that your game plan is exactly the same as playing Mett. 7 in the box. Safeties deep.

That tactic would represent respecting the pass, and daring LSU to run...which is the opposite strategy you suggested Iowa would employ, and in no way a diff tactic than would be applied to Mettenberger.

If only there was a way for players and defensive groups to get better throughout the season, gosh we'd sure like to know. I mean its not like people get better with practice and in our case in game experience.

To spell it out for you, this Iowa team has improved since playing OSU and Mich St. if you think Iowa will play just like they did in those games, you are in for a surprise.

OK[AGAIN]... You really think OSU and MSU are as good as LSU????? YOU are the one in for a surprise... DUDE If LSU comes out ready to play??? Iowa is in trouble... YOU and BREWSHIT have proven you know NOTHING about how SEC football is played... I could care less about ANY bowl game records... WE play for NC'S in the SEC.. The big ten plays for a new years day bowl....

1. Because you don't have Mettenberger. Iowa will make the true frosh beat them in his first start. -By employing the same tactics they'd use against Mettenberger. In other words Iowa does nothing differently, Jennings is just a worse player than Metternberger, advantage: Iowa

2. Iowa's defensive game plan is to make a team one dimensional. You'll be forced to beat us through the air. -Their game plan is to put 7 in the box to force you to the air. Got it. Also added to the game plan is scoring touchdowns and trying to tackle the person with the ball. Got it.

3. Our LBs can run and the DL HAS played well enough to allow them to make plays. --Woah, that's crazy because LSU has runningbacks that can barely walk and an offensive line that has played poorly enogh that they've gained a total of zero yards rushing.

So how does Mettenberger being out mean that Beckham and Landry will be ineffective?

Well, mostly because it takes a QB to get the WR the ball.

Wow. With intellect like this I'm starting to like our chances more and more.

So this is BrewHawks brilliant argument. Iowa will make LSU one dimensional by Anthony Jennings not being be Mettenberger, and moreover playing a poor game.

So Iowa will do nothing differently, LSU will just naturally be one dimensional because you are expecting Jennings to go out there and generally be ineffective. Bottom line. Your confidence stems entirely from playing against a freshman quarterback. Got it. Stimulating analysis right there.

What is funny is how you phrased it differently when you were "breaking it down" for us. With Mettenberger out Iowa will now do: This

This =the exact same thing they'd do against Mettenberger

MSU has a great "D". against the big ten....

OSU has a great "O" against the big ten....

Both would have at least three losses in the SEC...........

I do think MSU and OSU are as good LSU, you don't have to and to think so is not that far fetched.

It interesting that you only care about a bowl game if it's the National Title game, because that would mean 117 seasons out of LSU's history are meaningless to you. Since they've only competed for a natty three times in the schools history.

I know, imagine if MSU could have somehow taken down Tommy Rees and ND, they'd be the favorites for the National Championship.

Well, obviously, LSU has more NFL players than Iowa does.

But out of curiosity, how many players from each team are currently on NFL rosters?

not likely anyone here will agree. But even if it were true, Iowa lost to both of those teams and the outcome was not in quesiton by 4th quarter in both.

At the same time Iowa has improved since mid October.

LSU's RB looks alot like Carlos Hyde of OSU. He killed us in the 4th quarter - do you remember? OSU did not punt against Iowa.

If Iowa is to win (don't laugh) they have to outscore LSU. They hawks can't win a shoot out. What I mean is, any Iowa will will be a lower scoring game.

Two simple questions for ya...

1. Did Iowa beat a ranked team this year????

2. Who played a harder schedule... LSU or Iowa?????

All we care about is Jan. 1, 2014.

You're lost three times (almost four to a crappy, no, horrible Arkansas team) and we lost four to four ranked teams.

Iowa doesn't change its defensive strategy much at all. They will play base defense and adjust accordingly from there.
