The offense already runs for him a lot of the time. Sometimes I feel like the offensive philosophy is predicated a little too much on having polished offensive players. Pin down and stagger screens are effective generally , but of the offensive player doesn’t execute, or the play breaks down it just leaves players out of a good offensive position, and we end up looking like hot garbage. It would be nice if Reid could develop skills for a pick and roll. But he seems to be limited to being a back to the basket scorer at this point.

Agree about Reid.. I’m not seeing much improvement in Reid.. I know the transition between high school and college can take a while but he should be demonstrating some type of improvement.. I’m sure good coaches such as Tasmin Mitchell are working with this guy but all I’ve been seeing is him pushing people on rebounds, moving screens and terrible slow footed poor selection of shots under or near the goal..they need to put some weight on him in the offseason and rid him of the passive play… he needs a mean streak and play with one..

He definitely needs to get a mean streak. Idk about putting weight on someone who is already slow and doesn’t jump well. Not to mention poor defensive footwork.
You can tell he has the ability to become a great post scorer, and the ability to pass ( maybe not the vision yet). he seems very much a spectator at this point. I’m sure he will improve, but of all the players who actually have minutes. He looks the most like a freshman.

He's doubled his shot output the last two games (7.4 attempts a night the first 16 games of the season, 14 attempts per game the last two outings), but that came in two of the teams worst 4 offensive outings of the season.
I don't think the offense is bad because of him, I think it could be all that much worse without his contributions, but it kind of puts it in perspective.

With our offensive troubles, Murray needs as many minutes as possible and needs to take as many shots as he wants. Give him free rein.
