There’s not 1 Major League Baseball team that views him as a bonafide starting SS. If they do, they won’t have jobs in 3-5 years. Take off the purple and gold glasses folks. He’s too inconsistent.

Since you’re a scout, where does he get drafted?

If MLB view Thompson's problems as fixable, then he's not a bad SS. He's already shown the ability to dramatically improve in a year.

He's going to be drafted pretty high as a shortstop. I don't think some people realize how good he is, & how highly he projects to the majors.

Yup. Just because he isn't named Crews, Skenes, or Morgan doesn't mean he's trash. He's a great fielder that's prone to an occasional error. He still saves more runs than he gives up and he was the most clutch hitter we had last year.

He ain't gonna be in college next year.

We literally have the most clueless fans in the sec and they all collect and post here in this board. It’s so laughable

That’s the key word that many of the posters aren’t grasping. MLB scouts don’t draft for what you are now. That are drafting for what they think you can be in a couple of years with the coaching and resources of professional organizations.

The team you work for view him at what position at the next level?

Like most players, his chance of playing in the major leagues is slim. But he will absolutely be drafted as a SS and is the type of player a professional organization will love to develop

First of all, you used the word y’all twice in the same sentence. While referring to people being stupid. Nice! Secondly, your average college baseball SS’s are not highly projected MLB prospects. Who knows what position he’ll play or if he ever even makes it to the show? But to call him average is one of the dumbest things you’ve ever written. And you’ve had some real doozies.
