ive been watching last seasons games every few nights in anticipation of the season and Kadron Boone jumps out at me as someone who we don't talk a whole lot about. Also, Craig Loston is someone who I think could be primed for a big year. what say you?

Craig Loston will have a good year assuming he stays healthy. Boone I'm not as sure, but it is possible due to our "new and improved" offense. He has the ability to produce, but we have a few receivers in front of him.

yeah, im not predicting a breakout season or anything for Boone, he seems to make big catches in clutch situations though, very capable and tough. Im more impressed with Loston on replay (struggling through Bama game now) then i remember seeing him live. best sn on the rant btw

I think Josh Williford and Jalen Collins are gonna be stepping up big for us before the season is over

Steven Rivers. I'd like to see him play more this year.

Rivers at 6'8" should be a major factor? Does he work out with his brother?

I am going with Jerald Hawkins. This year is going to be his coming out party. He is going to be a very good tackle.

You think Hawkins will take the right tackle spot over Vadal?

I thought this was a sarcastic thread because the posts were so bad

Zach, really, as far as "name" players. No, he is not a "great qb," but he is tough ( think of hits he took last year) and played very big at big spots last year. UF loss is a good bit on him, but Bama loss is 100% on defense and play calling and Clemson loss is on same. Any "Booty like" mistake by Zach in 4th Q versus A&M, Ole Miss, SC, Auburn and we lose. Just IMHO very underappreciated, but hey, our QB's always are. Even Hodson had people screaming for Guidry in 1986-87.

I think ZM is going to do very well this year and get drafted fairly high.

He has all the tools, just needs to put them together. Cam is going to have this kid firing on all cylinders, our OLine will be 10x better, and we have tall deep threat WRs for him to hit.

So I agree. ZM is easily the most underrated starter on our team IMO.

Jalen Collins & the freak! Could be
Rivers, but I doubt Les will ever let him see the field.

Mett looked like a first year QB last year.

I expect him to put it together this year and do some special things.

I also look for Anthony Johnson to put up some big numbers now that he is the anchor of the Dline.

As far as break out seasons go, I think Q will have a huge season. Mett finally has a big tall receiver and a lot of attention will be payed to Juice and OBJ. I'm saying he has at least 750 yards and 8 TDs this season.

Josh Williford

He played every snap in the spring game. He'll start at left guard but they can move him around especially to center if they need to. He is going to bust his arse this season mainly to try and make up for the end of last season. He really got screwed by the ncaa. Apparently we are not as deep as we think as far as o-line because everyone is trying to adjust to this new system. Great talent but not to many polished players is what I'm hearing.

I keep asking a few guys why he isn't after the starting role and apparently this guy is lazy. His work ethic isn't there and he doesn't take the time to learn all the plays and system like a true quarterback should. I think he is number 2 quarterback going in but we'll give extra snaps to other guys unless Matt gets hurt or stays hurt. I guess it's been said now but he isn't healthy in a real kind of way right now.

I don't see how he is underrated. He was the best safety coming out of high school for a couple seasons. I like Loston but he is just low living up to that expectation. I got to go with J.C. Copeland.
