This isn't a most overrated LSU basketball player thread. Charlie would be the clear winner of that.
Tread carefully, baw.

Ricky Blanton. He worked over Kenny Walker, future NBA player, in the Elite 8 in '86.

Nikita Wilson, John Williams, Vernel Singleton.

NAME A BETTER sf WHO COULD PLAY WITH
SHAQ
PETIT
cj
PISTOL
Jerry Reynolds was a lengthy defender who could guard forwards and lock-down off-guards
that team undoubtedly doesn't need another dude cranking up shots.
so we slide him on the 1st unit, with the weaker defensive guards to help with maych-ups
who are the better SF's

Bob Pettit - One of the all time great LSU players. He was an all star almost every year he was in the NBA.
Kenny Higgs - Led Tigers in points and assists for three years and was all SEC. Sadly he was booed by our fans many times.
Ed Palubinkas - Our first Australian basketball player and a great one. Up there with Chris Jackson in shooting free throws and his jump shot.
Wayne Sims - Would have gotten much more attention and had much better stats if he hadn't played with so many great teammates.

Vernel Singleton was never the best athlete on the floor, but no Tiger ever worked harder. When you play on a team with 3 lottery picks (Shaq, Stanley Roberts and Chris Jackson), it's hard to stand out

What's so funny is many of the players listed as most under rated are highly thought of and actually over rated.
Based on what we did with him, then without it would have to be Lamont Roland. We were looking very good pre SEC, 9-1 with only a road loss to #1 Arizona, then a double digit lead against a really good Alabama team till he got hurt. We then lost that game and just about every one after.
