I like the running in the classroom tiger baiting prank, but I can't get that thought out of my head of the LSU fan dressed like a cow that went on the field for the Blue Grass Miracle.

In ~ 1949, my dad and his frat buddies went to the LSU/Bama game in Alabama. There was a parade or something through Birmingham, which included a live elephant mascot following the band. My dad and his buddy went into a hardware store near the parade route and bought some purple and gold paint. They went up to the elephant and poured purple and gold paint on it's side.
Not sure how cool it was, and of course PITA would have been up in arms if it existed back then, but I think it's a cool story. To me, he was such a straight laced businessman, and I couldn't even picture him doing something like that as a kid. It really cracks me up.

My grandmother told me about the time she and her friends snuck into Tulane Stadium and planted rye grass on the football field in the letters LSU. When the grass started coming in, Tulane couldn't keep the LSU from standing out.

back in the 40's some lsu students snuck onto tulane's campus and stole tulane's official letter towel before their game against one another.
there was much ballyhoo and tomfoolery surrounding that episode

We put salt and stuff in JHS that outlines "LSU" when we stopped there on our way to the SECCG to play tenn. Yeah we got some death threats on video. They were pissed bc we were the reason they weren't in the SECCG.

a prank on their own fans: A night game during the seventies (they were all night games then). Two students made a miniature hot air balloon using a candle and a plastic trashbag and sent it airborne. It floated over the stadium, causing a rash of UFO reports.
