LSU quarterback race tightening up...
The only thing tightening up will be LSU fans' sphincters if Jarrett Lee is named the starter. Man am I glad Les isn't the coach of my team!

Unless he has been possessed by the spirit of Joe Montana, Lee's biggest handicap will be between his ears.

I don't put much stock into how Lee is doing in practice. As the other poster said, what's between his ears is the problem come game time. Some kids turn it on during games and some can't hack it. I don't know if Lee gets nervous and his calm and reason go out the window, or if he's not good at reading the defenses or what, but it hasn't been pretty. We all know that. I don't know if you can coach a kid up if that's the issue. Perhaps he can improve, i hope for him that he can but we haven't seen that. That season was beyond painful to watch.

If the offense continues to be awful and Jefferson continues to play mediocre football to start 2010, Lee will have to be inserted as starter, fact

If he finds himself behind center, there isn't shite you can do about it.

Pretty sure Les isn't going to have to explain it to you regardless of who plays QB.

My sarcasm meter might be off, but there was nothing intelligent about that post. Lee won't be named the starter, and if he is, it's because Les and the coaching staff have a lot more information that we do.
