Booty graduated high school in 1994, and then quit baseball in 1998 in time to join LSU's team in spring of 1999. Applewhite graduated high school in 1997, so that story does not match up.

People who act like DiNardo locked down the state conveniently leave out players like Arnaz Battle.

it chapped my arse when arnaz battle went to notre dame.but he didnt do shite there.

He only started at QB for them and had a couple solid years at WR for them. He is still a starting WR for the 49'ers. He's done fine for himself.

If you hate La players that leave, you are a hypocrite if you like LSU signing players from out of state. Players like JaMarcus Russell, Matt Flynn, Dewayne Bowe, Russell Sheppard etc.

I try not to hate 17-18 y/olds that may want to experience life outside of their home state.

Arnaz Battle went to Notre Dame for the academics, Arnaz was really smart, one of those all-american guy types. He actually did do shite there, because he was drafted and I think still plays wide receiver for the 49ers.

LSU wasn't exactly the place to be when arnaz came out of Byrd high.

calm down, its not like we are going to get a lynch mob and hunt them down.

its just frustrating when teams succeed with players from LA.

I'm sure the RB's that come here from other states have their hometeam fans pretty pissed off.

have fun with it, you don't have to be such a dick about it, no wonder you have a bag over your head, grumpy old arse.

My good friends Dad was the coach there at the time. Dinardo came by Byrd to ask if there were any LSU CALIBER recruits there. This was Arnaz's senior year. When the coach asked if there was anyone particular Dinardo wanted to see he said he didn't know. What an idiot? He wanted to play QB anyway. Arnaz was a smart guy top quarter of that class.
