In what world is Jalen Mills better than Derrick Henry, A'Shawn Robinson or Kenyan Drake? I'm pretty sure Ragland is better too.

Lmao!! Are you serious do you watch football?
Jarren Reed, Ashawn Robinson, and Ragland are looking like your future average Bama players
Looks at their career numbers so far
Reed 73 tkls 3 sacks
Robinson 84 tkls 2.5 sacks
Ragland 43 tkls
Jalen Mills
126 tkls 3 ints 21PD
Mills got the game winning PD against Julio, shut Diggs down, and led the Eagles in tackles in the super, was the highest rated, and got key PD on Gronk. Those Bama players you mention haven't done anything in their career in the same time span.
Sometimes I really wonder about you so called LSU fans

That's fine if you don't think 84 tackles is good for a DL and I wasn't positive about Ragland. There is no way that Mills is better than Henry or Drake. I like what Mills did this year, but he got picked on a bunch. All you had to do is pay attention to fantasy football to know he was giving up a lot yardage.

This is so depressing.
I don't see how an LSU fan can interpret these results as anything other than an egregious waste of talent. But hey, it was fun watching players of Fournette's ability play in the Texas bowl...

wait you think that article proves your point?
justin Jefferson has proven nothing.
there are 3 standout players on that list imo. its subjective though.

actually our 2014 and 2015 team didnt have that many players drafted off them until 2017.
our 2014 team had 4 players drafted.
19 different programs had more players drafted than we did.
our 2015 team had 5 players drafted.
6 different sec programs either matched or surpassed or draft numbers

Drake got the torch with Ajayi got traded and had 2 good games and got figured out afterwards. Henry couldn't post better numbers than an old wash up Demarco Maurry. And those 2 are RBs, while Mills played safety and is tryin to learn how to play CB in the NFL. Henry and Drake were picked in the 2nd and 3rd round they're gettin an opportunity because of where they were taken( you can say that about those other Bama players you mention for that matter) Mills was a 7th rounder who's earned everything he's gotten and he's made stride you can see that by how he took his game up another notch in the playoffs. Players like Mills have star potiential.

Not to mention they payed Dion Lewis a ton of money and I highly doubt it's to be a backup. It's sad we're having this debate with a "LSU fan.

We're talking about the NFL, it shouldn't matter what school you're a fan of. But, since you guys seem to have your minds made up, you're right and I'm wrong.

Yes beyond a doubt.

He has been named a starting WR at LSU. Not bad for a guy who didn't even have a national ranking by the recruiting service that you quote like it's the bible.

Yes it is subjective and I would say more than three. Anytime a player gets to play for LSU and/or in the NFL I would consider them a standout player.
BUT, this is just the LOWEST rated recruit for each class the last 10 years excluding JUCOs and special teams players - kickers, long snappers, punters.
2008: Lavar Edwards No. 959 overall prospect, No. 32 in Louisiana
He was a fifth round pick in the NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans
2009: Josh Williford No. 1,066 overall prospect, No. 34 in Alabama
Injuries forced him to call off his football career. He served out his final year on campus as a student coach for the Tigers in 2013.
2010: Alfred Blue No. 66 RB, No. 758 overall prospect, No. 19 in Louisiana
a sixth round NFL Draft selection by the Houston Texans, where he was on roster from 2014-17.
2011: Ronald Martin No. 43 CB, No. 624 overall prospect, No. 24 in Louisiana
signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an unrestricted free agent following the 2015 NFL Draft. He’s since spent time in the NFL with the Seahawks, the New York Jets, the Baltimore Ravens and two stints with the Indianapolis Colts.
2012: Kavahra Holmes No. 86 WR, No. 763 overall prospect, No. 30 in Louisiana
announced he was transferring out of LSU
* A side note, the second-lowest ranked recruit in LSU’s class that year was Jalen Mills, who went on to start immediately as a true freshman at LSU and was a starter in the secondary for the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles this past year.
2013: Duke Riley No. 42 OLB, No. 539 overall prospect, No. 22 in Louisiana
he went on to be selected in the third round of the NFL Draft with the No. 75 overall pick by the Atlanta Falcons.
2014: Russell Gage No. 74 ATH, No. 898 overall prospect, No. 32 in Louisiana
LSU’s Pro Day in April catapulted him up NFL Draft boards, with many mock drafts pointing to Gage as a late-round steal for an NFL team.
2015: Foster Moreau No. 74 TE, No. 1,984 overall prospect, No. 86 in Louisiana
a multi-year starter at tight end who is now one of the team’s veteran leaders - and certainly a name in the mix to take over the No. 18 jersey. Moreau’s slated to start at tight end again for LSU this fall.
2016: Lloyd Cushenberry No. 82 OG, No. 1,522 overall prospect, No. 71 in Louisiana
Fast forward two years and Cushenberry is now the heir apparent to Ethan Pocic and Will Clapp as the team’s next starting center, a position he took the first-team reps at this spring.
2017: Justin Jefferson No. 308 WR, No. 2,164 overall prospect, No. 76 in Louisiana
It appears Jefferson will be a starter for the Tigers during his sophomore season next fall.
And none of these players were ranked in the top 20 at their positions. Even the five that have ALREADY played in the NFL. If Gage gets drafted that will be six of the 10 lowest rated recruits to play in the NFL. With Moreau, Cushenberry and Jefferson still playing at LSU.
But yeah, the recruiting services are NEVER WRONG.

Yea and Dantrieze Scott is next. This just proves that LSU is not NFLU because of getting 5* but because they have created a culture in the program
Posted on 4/26/18 at 3:45 pm to Tiger Ree
Only a fool looks to exceptions to prove the rule.

LSU is #13 in most draft picks of all time. Seems like we have a history of underachieving.

and what makes you say that?
you do realize that by the very nature of rankings, there are more 3* than 4*, and more 4* than 5*? therefore, the chances of a 3* performing better than his HS ranking is greater.
so , who is the idiot again?
Man, I'm being serious here.
I hope you are fricking with me and doing it on purpose, for your sake.

the internet is serious business.
so you do disagree that there are more 3* than 4* , and more 4* than 5*? I am trying to get a baseline of your basic understanding of how recruiting works before proceeding further.

Compare the hardware of LSU and Alabama and what do you think since both seem close to being on par with NFL talent.

no one said that.
those guys ARE STILL OUTLIERS. why dont you look up the % of 3 star players that make the nfl. because 50% of 5 stars do.
its one thing to have a couple outside the top 20 at their position.
not damn near half the class.
